the most important moment of 2019 was them being on Good Mythical Morning
Calum's blond short hair was my highlight of 2019, just absolutely loved it.
The other highlights were obviously the Vault sessions, Friends of Friends (both amazing initiatives btw), Who Do You Love and the tour with the Chainsmokers.
i've adored you guys since my youth, 2014, the fact that now i'm a mother with 3 kids, and STILL in awe of your music, your young adult changes.. like me.. and btw calum, please....! i need to see your face! i'm a calum girl for crying out loud it so frustating not being able to see your face in this 😭

Ashton dice que al invitar a artistas a "Friends of Friends" es algo muy bueno, porque cada artista cuenta con su propio estilo musical, con su esencia, además de que se muestra un gran apoyo a la diversidad y al arte (no sólo por parte de los artistas y de los chicos, sino también por parte de la fam).

One of my favorite episodes so far. I love getting to see the breakdown of the creative process and driving motivations for success in a constantly evolving business. This episode makes me especially excited for the future of the band and the new label.

@@pilupili No sé, pero en PC hay una opción en la que puedes traducir los subtítulos que se generan automáticamente (no son exactamente lo que ellos dicen pero te das una idea) solo tienes que activarlos e ir a configuración y poner "traducción automática" a español.
No sé si te sirva pero es una opción :D.
te recomiendo que aprendas, aunque sea básico porque sirve para muchas cosas en la vida :)

- Dicen que utilizaron y desarrollaron como banda y con productores más sonidos electrónicos para incorporarlos en las canciones, que querían lograr un buen álbum.
- También dicen que como banda quieren lograr hacer cosas con una dualidad muy marcada y que una de ellas fue la creación de "Friends of Friends", dar los mini-conciertos, invitar a nuevos artistas a tocar (como cuando los invitaban a ellos en 2011) y recaudar para diversas causas.
- Ashton dice que al invitar a artistas a "Friends of Friends" es algo muy bueno, porque cada artista cuenta con su propio estilo musical, con su esencia, además de que se muestra un gran apoyo a la diversidad y al arte (no sólo por parte de los artistas y de los chicos, sino también por parte de la fam).
- Mike habla sobre cómo su manager les dijo que había una propuesta y oportunidad de estar en tour con "The chainsmokers", que en un punto estaba a nada de lanzarse la colaboración con"Who do you love" y que decidieron que podrían hacer el tour juntos.
- Luke dice que la propuesta de estar en tour con "The chainsmokers" le recordó a cuando estuvieron en tour con "1D", que es una única y es una gran oportunidad poder hacerlo, además de que esta vez irían como banda pop rock a un tour con un dj y otra cantante pop que era "Lenon Stella" ( yo no me olvido de ella, sigan a mi comadre, hace arte).
- Luke también dice que estaban analizando la situación del tour, querían ver cómo funcionaba para ellos, que tal iba todo y como se podían acomodar la agenda de los chicos.
- Luke menciona que lo que le gusta de la banda es que ellos encuentran la forma de que todo funcione, de poder lograr algo muy bueno a partir de la situación en la que se encuentren.
- Ash dice que la música EDM es la más popular y que al contrario del rock (que en estos momentos no es lo más escuchado) y que solo bandas como imagine dragons o maroon 5 se encuentran en el top 20, fue una razón por lo que se fueron a lados opuestos al crear "Who do you love" y a estar de tour con otro género, con una audiencia que era muy poco probable que los escuchara (y viceversa con "The chainsmokers"), así que vieron una gran oportunidad en ello, dijeron que estaba bien hacerlo.
- Calum y Ash también dicen que el World war tour fue complejo para los chicos y que los hizo dar todo lo mejor de ellos, ya que era una nueva audiencia quien los iba a escuchar, que eran una rock band contra un dj y su música EDM.
- Mike dice que era como poner a David y a Goliath juntosxd
- Ash dice que ese tour era como un proyecto de ciencia para ellos, que tenían que ver como utilizar y que canciones de los 3 álbumes (en ese tiempo) que obviamente no eran música EDM se llevarían acabo en el tour, con fans del EDM.
- Calum dice que saben como funciona y se crea una canción EDM y también dice que Mike ha estado produciendo por un tiempo canciones EDM.
- Mike dice que en 2019 ya tenían hecho CALM, que por unos 8 meses estuvieron grabando el álbum y que estaban listos para lo siguiente.
- Mike también dice que lo que más querían en 2019 (entre el tour y otras cosas) era lanzar CALM, que siempre estaban como de "¿cuándo sale CALM? ¿Ya casi sale CALM?, ¿podemos apurarnos a que ya salga?", etc.
- Ash dice que es complejo y a veces frustrante el lanzar música como banda en un cierto tiempo (algo bien establecido), que sí, claro que tanto nosotrxs como fans como ellos quieren estar con los mejores artistas del momento, con los stream, etc, pero que el lanzar música como banda a como un artista en solitario es muy diferente, que en este caso a los chicos les toma entre 1 año y medio el poder sacar su material y que no es la forma o como les gustaría que sucediera ello.

The tour with The Chainsmokers was the last live show I got to see before the pandemic, and honestly, I'm really glad that I decided to go. Not only because 5 Seconds of Summer is one of my favorite bands of all time, but because the set y'all played was so unique and in your face in the best way. I've thought about that night so much more than your other shows that I've been to and hoping to see 5sos live again sometime definitely helped me get through these past 2 years. Calm was a beautiful record, and I cannot wait to hear what y'all have next and to hopefully see you again in Florida in 2022!!

I was familiar with the band through 1D but wasn't an avid listener. Seeing them with the Chainsmokers on tour completely changed my perspective of the guys immediately. I'm glad they opened themselves to a completely different fan base and demographic. It was my first time seeing them and I was so impressed with them!! Their musicality and stage presence blew me away. They were fantastic and I ended up seeing them 2x on that tour.

Hearing their input on the chainsmokers tour kind of makes me laugh because from my end everyone in the pit went to see only 5SOS and stayed for chainsmokers😂 (by far one of the best concerts I’ve been to I was second row and their presence was like no other)

ngl i stan them since 2013 or something and i always loved them, but right now i'm more focused on kpop and all, and while i didn't forget about them bc they're still one of my favorite artists, i don't follow their activities a lot BUT now this serie is coming out it feels good to remember why i love them and why i'm still a fan of them after all thes years, i literally grew up with them, and i feel so nice to be here, watching this video and the other, thank you 5sos for all the things you've helped me to do during my teenager days

I took my sister to the chainsmoker show specifically for you guys. I ended up getting into a fight with some fans behind us because they were so hateful during your set we couldn’t even enjoy it. Interestingly enough they apologized at the end of the show and ended up becoming friends 🤣.
