what a great interview! i’ve been a fan for all 11 years and it’s refreshing to feel like they’re being asked genuine and new questions! i also love how you make sure to include everyone on the questions
Oh wow Calum actually voluntarily answers without being directly asked before the 10 minute mark haha (9:24). 😂 also, great interview! I’ve been a fan since 2014 and I’m so happy with the way their music has evolved. I’m glad they are too.
i think im on that 'wave', i suddenly found 5sos on quarantine days and im proud to see how involving they are for just watching some old videos of them :) they really help me through my lowest time and grateful i found them
same here! it was march 2020 when i first got into them and the following couple of years were really rough for me, im glad i had 5sos to offer me comfort and hopefully this will be the case for years and years to come
I was outside waiting whilst this interview was going on and one of the main topics with my friend group was how at a 5sos show you used to be able to recognise everyone and know of certain groups of people. But that day we couldn't spot those people and we were around 16 year olds, and as 22-25 year olds who have been with the band since 2011/2012, it was so strange to us that a lot of those people weren't even around during some of the most significant moments in the bands career. So so strange how their audience has remained somewhat the same, but also now has this new wave of fans, it's really a testament to both their longevity and their growth as musicians!
I definitely slept on them! I cast them aside instantly as a teenager because they toured with 1D and I hated 1D (how the turntables!) But I remember when "youngblood" came out and I was like "daaaaamn this song is fucking IT who is this band!?" And was shocked when I found out it was 5sos And then I found out they're from fucking windsor and mt druitt etc which is like 20 mins away from where I live now I can't NOT support them plus the show at the Opera house last year was one of the best and happiest days i'd had in a long long time since covid there was nothing more iconic than watching them play sitting on those steps as the sun set 🥺💕 plus all their fans are so lovely!!!!? also thankful getting into them introduced me to Luke's solo music too ❤
From a girl growing up in Western Sydney to a mum in the Clarence Valley, really proud of these boys, thanks to my youngest son for introducing me to your music. Keep up the fantastic work guys.
Amazing interview! Really random but I live in wales and we're doing mock exams rn and one of the questions was who do you adimre and why. No joke I wrote and about 5SOS an how their music helped me through a lot. It went quite deep and my teacher is gonna be like what the heck, but they honestly have helped so many people and I hope they know that. Well done guys you have done amazing. I was 4 in 2011 but I have grown up to your music and have loved it for years!
I've been a fan since 2014 and while I like their older music, their newer music isn't bad! It was neat seeing them grow throughout all of these years into wonderful and talented musicians.
Fan mum here, right from the start, Ally has followed these boys. They have seen her through so much, I often wonder if they realise how much they have helped so many with their music. This year she took her cousin to the melb show, to her very first concert. Jessica is a massive fan now as well.
i literally grew up with these guys, been a fan since day 1. i'm from argentina and their show last wednesday was AMAZING. they have always been great musicians but nowadays i swear they got better and better. they keep getting more and more talented! they are also super nice guys. ty for this wonderful interview!!
I am a part of the new people ! I've been actively listening to them since end of 2018 and saw them in 2019 with chainsmokers and I saw them again this year! i love them so much
I absolutely love this interview. It's so well done. Thanks so much for doing this and sharing it. :) I'm a super new fan but roughly their age and I love their music so so so much. It has really got me through some of the roughest weeks of my life.
Great interview Nic! We love a Gossy CoastFM shoutout. Your questions were really great, you could see they seemed interested in answering them because they were different questions to what they get a million times. I really love the rapport you have with them.
Wow! Such a good interview with a greattt host who knows just the right questions to ask and when. So fun TYSM for this! Corazones desde México lqm 5SOS ❤❤
i genuinely ran into 5sos (please don’t make fun of me 😂😂) in 2019 when i was exploring the internet and trying to find some random fanfictions. i knew the band name so after reading the fanfiction and being slightly confused i went and searched them up. i grew up hearing amnesia on the radio, i was 7 when their debut came out. and then i realized i had listened to so much of their music over the years. youngblood, amnesia, and she looks so perfect have always been songs on my moms car radio and the little alarm clock radio in my room. so yeah. i started listening to them after that google search. at first i was just listening to the hits. then over quarantine i ended up listening to each of their albums from beginning to end. i really adore this group and i like knowing that i always have heard their music, i just didn’t know it was them. i recently attended a 5SOS concert here in Indianapolis IN and absolutely loved it. best experience of my life, hands down. i also did a countdown to their most recent album release. i was so excited when it came out.
This is one of the best interviews I’ve seen! So chill and yet so informative. You knew exactly what you’re talking about and actually cared about their answers. Good job 😊
Hopped on board in 2018 - Youngblood era. Their music before that was just not my taste. Saw them in NY this past summer, and they sounded amazing. ✌️💚

i love how the interviewer asked questions like he was genuinely interested in what they had to say, a lot of interviewers don’t have that interaction
Ashton enduring the sun while everyone else was shaded. Its good to see they look healthy mentally and physically. Great interview.
