Did they "stun" us? I think LSU and all the prognosticators were stunned that Carolina was up 17-0 and it was no fluke. The only thing that had Carolina stunned were the utterly disgraceful calls by the refs that brought back 100-yard pick 6 (because LSU's QB is apparently playing Powderpiuff ball) and a long pass completion that would have resulted in a likely FG at the very least, if not for a GHOST offensive pass interference call that the casters are STILL watching slo-mo replays trying to find. There were other calls as well, but the fact that Carolina played the entire 2nd half with a backup QB from Auburn who can't even throw a football, and still nearly won the game against both LSU and the LSU REFS (who clearly had bets on the game) is what's truly stunning. A travesty of an ending, but there's no team on the schedule that will be looking forward to playing this Gamecock team.
Idk why kennard put his hands up after he decked Nuss. It was a legal play. Youre allowed to pop the qb regardless whether they’re in the play or not. Nick was in in the end zone by the time kennard popped him but he still should be allowed to do it
@@JonesShineCoLeagues yeah the pass interference on the other side of the field from where the ball was thrown was really bad. Good news tho. Georgia only beat Kentucky by 1 pt. So theres a big win for y’all.
The text of the NCAA Rule Book on the horse collar penalty: All players are prohibited from grabbing the inside back collar of the shoulder pads or jersey, the area, or the inside collar of the side of the shoulder pads or jersey, and immediately pulling the ball carrier down. This does not apply to a ball carrier, including a potential passer, who is inside the tackle box. The LSU QB was solidly inside the tackle box. This was the wrong call. Then the OPI and the BS crackback -- something was up with the refs in this game.
Even the 2 point conversion was called back. 3 ineligible men down field penalties. Refs were unbelievable in how they impacted the outcome of this game. 4-5 of those penalties were absolutely wrong.
Absolutely disgusting! on the 2 and they call receivers for ineligible man down field for blocking. lol. Outrageous! Then the pick six at the end was called for blocking the quarterback after a pick? I feel a lot of heat coming on this reffing performance in the coming days
My father was a referee for 32 years in HS & the SEC....I have Utmost Respect for sports officials because without them - we will not have these wonderful events....Worst officiating I have ever witnessed because the missed / Improper calls were ALL at the worst moments for the Gamecocks. Phantom offensive pass interference, no call on late hit out of bounds..When the ball has changed possession on a pick & the QB is racing off to make the tackle - he was Legally chipped blocked as he now is on defense...yet it appears as though there is a rule that says an opposing player may Never hit the QB at all after he has released the ball EVEN THOUGH HE HAS BEOMON A DEFENDER after throwing an interception....the out of bounds catch that Nearly was not called because the judge on the spot was not looking at the feet whatsoever - and the other official had to tell the referee that the receiver was out of bounds...and I have never heard of a lineman being called for being downfield illegally on play originating from the original 2 point play spot...NEVER EVER EVER saw that penalty called..Hell if he is making a good block he can drive his man into the stands at that point...
I'm 56, watched football since the 3rd grade, watched every Steelers Super bowl, don't watch much College but live here in Columbia. I have to say that was the most lopsided officiated game ever in my 45 years history of watching football. Gamecocks are undisciplined which comes down to coaching but there was at least 6 bad calls and non-calls and I'm probably being generous

Even with the fluff calls from the refs we still shot ourselves in the foot. The turnovers against us was key in giving lsu prime field position. Our red zone defense was elite. They can only do so much so eventually they’ll make it in at some point and I’m SURE the defense was tired late in the second half.
Why is there no accountability for these refs? What kind of system is in place for auditing them? Im sure the SEC will have nothing to say after this abysmal performance. Theres no way in hell anyone with a brain can say LSU deserved to win this game. LSU fans beside us said the same thing! Blasphemy! Is this what the SEC has become? Pave the way for the programs that have an upper hand anyways? Bull$$$!! Carolina owned them the entire game!
Ref on the LSU side killed the game. He made several odd calls that hurt SC. One they reviewed he said catch when the player went out of bounds caught the ball out he said catch. It was overturned. 2 TD called back for 💩💩. Push on a defensive player (qb) open hand push as he turned to go towards the play. Horse collar was all jersey no collar .
What about the pick 6 that KENNARD has jersey only no horse collar on replay . As well as for the second pick 6 on a legit block Nuss was trying to make a play. Refs gave LSU 14 points.
Phantom Offensive pass interference, but no defensive pass interference on the defender on the actual receiver? Should have thrown one on the defender to off set
We lost because Loggains wasn't ready coming out of halftime after knowing Sellers couldn't go. We didn't need scoring drives, but if we could have gotten just 2 first downs in the 3d qtr we win that game. The phantom offensive PI sucked. Somebody needs to tell Loggains and Beamer that we need to see Doty at least a series or 2 as Ashford is limited too much. Doty would give us the same threat as Sellers. He may not get the points but Doty could have changed that outcome. Give the kid QB reps in practice every day and a series or 2 this week. That could have been the difference between 2-1 and 3-0.
This game had some terrible calls by the ref. I also think usc got a little to aggressive with their offensive play calling, needed to focus on running the ball more and giving lsu less time with the ball
The refs are the ones who stunned! SC tore them boys up all game until the refs handed LSU the game. This is the most ridiculous college football game I ever watched ref wise
Announcers supposed to be neutral…..but you could pick-up on the “suttle” LSU hate……but they won anyway! I’m not a big fan of Brian Kelley coaching this team because he had average athletes when he coached at Cincinnati and Notre Dame……..and believe they these “Midwest teams” are his speed. I feel he doesn’t know how to coach the talent he has, AND I don’t feel he connects or resonates with the players; and is not a leader of men! The black players on the team, are highly talented….and respond to coaches who respect them and demonstrate a genuine care for them as players and human beings. His phony southern accent when he arrive at LSU and lack understanding of southern black athletes, their backgrounds, aspirations, will be the reason LSU does not go to the next level. Simply put, he is not a fit or the right coach, for this team. However, there’s way too much talent on that team, to not finish 9-3 or better.
Sc lost simple as that the refs called buku penalty’s on both teams lsu won in that loud crazy environment and they played like shit give lsu the credit they deserve because us tiger fans are definitely giving credit to SC they are a great team I I believe they are going to do damage this year !!
