      Keep at it man! One of the main reasons I wanted to make these vids was to try and innovate different approaches to gaming and see if I can show people alternatives to the way they might be doing it. I leave it up to the viewer to decide whether they want to take on board any of the feedback I give to myself.

      I’ve thought about streaming but I’m just never sitting at my computer for more than an hour or 2 at a time, even when gaming I’m playing 1-2 and then going for a walk or to the gym etc. for that reason I’ve thought it would be funny as to do a stream that swaps back and forth between gaming and irl but since I don’t live alone yet it’s a privacy thing.

Irl radiant is such an interesting concept and the way ur doing it is absolutely lit, it motivates me so much seeing u improve week by week, i decided then that i would continue watching ur series from week 10 or 11 to whenever u decide to end it. Also that you can use valorant to fuel healthy habits that impact other areas of life such as work, relationships and health. You can make valorant a healthy hobby rather then a bad habit.

    Just a few tips, as for training for hypertrophy doing less reps (around 6-8) is usually the best. Just make sure you are close to failure at the end of every set for hypertrophy. Me personally, after my warm up set/sets I will do two sets close to failure or to failure. I rest for 3-5 minutes on compound exercises and 2-3 minutes for isolation exercises. From what I've learned from exercise scientists that take studies in to account, this is the one of the best methods.
    Also when you're flashing with skye for your teammates out of a smoke, try to watch on the map and flash as soon as the bird leaves the smoke.

    • @zasko_II
      @zasko_II  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yo! Cheers for the advice man, it really contradicts what i know though which id love to try break down.
      When i trained mauy thai i specifically followed that protocol with the intentions of building sheer strength rather than size, i never saw any massive gains.
      I listened to huberman podcasts and he explained that building strength is about longer rests, less sets 5-6 and then just smashing as much weight as possible which makes sense, but then on the flip side in order to grow your muscles for size, itgs all about shredding them to pieces.
      For example this week im going for 12 reps, slow and controlled but fully continuous with zero rest between reps, shorter reps to make sure my muscles arent fully recovering and then even drop setting to really rip into them.
      Ive actually seen some of my best resulkts doing myo reps which is like 20 reps first set, 5-10 second rest, go til failure, 5-10 second rest and then continue.
      Also the sky advice is really good haha thats probably why my team were dying lmao, getting baited!

    • @nathana9458
      @nathana9458 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@zasko_II PS: not trying to be rude I just don't want you wasting time in the gym making the same mistakes I've made previously. The whole "muscle tearing" thing isn't actually how muscles grow. The last one minute of this video has a short summary for how muscle growth works : th-cam.com/video/Nzzp3DbAHwA/w-d-xo.html. Mechanical tension is what leads to muscle growth.
      Huberman has good takes but not everything he says is true.
      It's very good that you're doing slow and controlled reps because those help with hypertrophy.
      Also for your rest, the extremely short rest period is only killing your gains. You don't want to be fatigued before you start your next set. This scientific study shows that longer rest periods leads to a much greater increase in both strength and muscle hypertrophy: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26605807/. Those myo reps that you're doing is basically cardio for your muscles, which is not good for hypertrophy.
      Here are a few lifters/bodybuilders that give good information on training: TNF (t_nutrition_fitness), JPG Coaching, and Paul Carter. These guys all post science based information on tiktok.

    • @zasko_II
      @zasko_II  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Super eye opening! So it would be a combination of slow and controlled reps of 10-12ish plus also adding longer rests of 3+ minutes?
      Super eye opening, once I get a chance to watch those I’ll put this all to the test for the sake of science! Look forward to it and I absolutely love when people help expand my mind like this so don’t stress about coming across as rude

    • @nathana9458
      @nathana9458 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@zasko_II For reps what I and a lot of people do is 6-8 reps with a certain weight. Then once you're able to do around 10 reps increase the weight by 5lb.
      A 3 minute rest time is usually good for compound lifts and a 2 minute rest period for isolation lifts.
      If you don't want to rest for that long more sets will lead to similar results.
      2 sets w/ 3 minute rests ≈ 3 sets w/ 2 minute rest. As you can imagine tho, more sets with less rest can lead to early exhaustion. (This is to an extent, if you still feel tired you should wait for your heart rate to go down and when you feel ready and no longer fatigued.)
      Everyone/everyday is different tho. Some people might need to do 3 sets w/ 3 minute rest time. Some days you might not have the energy to train how you want to. As long as you're training hard and following progressive overload you will see progress with a good diet.
      Currently watching your new video and here's some info on dropsets because this guy is more knowledgeable than me. www.tiktok.com/t/ZTNVSusFC/

    Hey man. Tim here from this valorant life. Thanks for commenting and linking your video!
    I’m not qualified to comment on anything valorant related lol😂. But I can comment on the nutrition strength. I’ve been lifting for 10 years now and used to be really into it.
    You’re definitely doing an RDL. You don’t need to be going a low as you are. Keep your knees slightly bent and just push your butt out. You’ll feel the pull in your hamstrings and that’s the end or your ROM for that exercise.
    For your squats, you need some more tension in your back. After you unrecking before you squat, you should be trying to pull the bar down over your shoulders, almost like you’re trying to snap the bar in half. The more tension that you have the more force you will transfer from your legs and hips into the bar
    Lastly, hypertrophy here is probably more limited by lack of calories rather than lack of workouts. Are you gaining some amount of weight per week? If not, you’re just not eating enough to put on any muscle.
    Lastly, I hope you’re getting some vegetables!!!!

    • @zasko_II
      @zasko_II  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The legendary Tim!
      Im super keen to give all the weightlifting advice a shot this week :)
      I have increased the calories in my diet by about 600 and am now going to compare the results against the previous. Im trying to find a sweet spot where i can put roughly 0.5-0.75kgs per week (would love your thoughts on this). When i ate more i definitely saw the gains i was after but after dropping my calories by simply just not eating as much thats when i felt a plateu. If I can spot that increase in weight this week i'll be super happy as itll be a bottleneck taken care of!
      Nutrition is a funny one here though haha, I'm on a completely carnivore diet getting all my nutrition from fatty meat and organs. I eat the exact same meals every day with no exeptions to the diet which allows me to be completely fat adapted and run off ketones (ive never had more energy in my entire life). No veggies for me, just the burger cheese :)

    Another great video, really enjoyed the editing on this one. I can really see the improvements in video quality, great stuff!
    You talked about doing an unranked before every ranked match, could you perhaps motivate it further? It simply has a high cost just to get your mental into the right place, taking a lot of time + taking as much mental effort as a normal game. Aside from the cost you want to be able to force yourself to get into the mindset without having to play a game before hand. I mean if pros can do it why can’t you? Lastly you really shouldn’t care about your rank, change in rank really only starts to show when the plethora of new skills are all unconsciously competent, which takes time to work on. If you use rank as your measurement you might start making changes to things that are really working but just haven’t compounded yet.
    Just to note I am picking at a random part in the video that doesn’t fully make sense to me. That doesn’t mean you have to immediately go and change it, as this approach really is a sound idea that just works. it would be even better to have a sort of overview of all the departments you could improve upon and then structurally go through a list of the small improvements you can make (hey that kind of sounds like marginal gains!).

    • @zasko_II
      @zasko_II  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes! I really love the concept of a big picture system that i slowly tweak based on data. Im trying so hard to create that with ALL areas at the moment like gym meditation and aim training. Its actually the main focus for the week
      I also wanted to do the exact samething in game as well with set playbooks that i constantly tweak and expand.
      Like for example always playing garage but a minor tweak is that if they have a breach i play further back and go for info instead of looking for a flash play

Touch and go is when u slightly touch the ground and then go up again, reset is when u drop the br on the floor and do the next rep as it was the first. The second one is more to strength the first to endurance and muscle building

    • @zasko_II
      @zasko_II  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I definitely had a feeling about the rdls! Since my current goals are muscle size and hypertrophy what are your thoughts on either or?
      I’m going to go back to a push pull legs split this week and do a more detailed leg day with extensions, curls, calves and maybe some lunges? Ontop of my rdls and squats that I already do

      @marcom900 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@zasko_II I think that rdls are surely good but not so much for muscle building but more to endurance of the muscle. I suggest u to watch Jeff nippard and Ryan humiston to learn better exercises.

    Total beginner Valorant question:
    Would it be more beneficial to grind DM to learn the basics of movement and shooting, or jump in to unrated, then comp and pick them up as I go?
    Thanks mate :)

    • @zasko_II
      @zasko_II  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would honestly do a 1 to 1 ratio of comp and DM, if not more DM at the start. But I’d make sure every DM has intent and purpose. Why are you playing it? Is it movement? Is it crosshair placement? Figure that out and go into it FULL focusing on simply that one thing. I love doing scenario based death matches where I pretend I’m attacking or defending and peak angles like I would on a retake or site push!
      Best of luck!

    Good and inspiring video but u NEED a more balanced diet!
    Especially if u want to put on more weight its good to eat more veggies. A carnivore diet leads in some cases to weight loss instead of gain. Also u need to take supplements for Vitamin C/E, and potassium aswell as magnesium. Also because u lack fiber in ur diet ull someday get some digestive issues. Please (for ur own health) include something like spinach and/or potatoes to cover for it.

      I’m a sciency person so I like to test things :)
      I’ll commit to what I’m doing + some adaptations like adding beef living and some supplements and then I’ll simply get my bloods done after 3 months and evaluate.
      I’m non-bias and happy to try anything based on data but I always give them a fair shot before giving up!
      Carnivore diet so far is giving me a level of clarity I’ve never felt before allowing me to really give these videos my all so I’m definitely liking it but I’ll 100% take on board the C/E

      @@zasko_II I respect your commitment to the carnivore diet but definitely eat more veggies or supplement. As for the weight loss they mentioned, as long as you're in a calorie surplus you will gain weight.
