Being the offspring of an actor/director only gives you a platform to launch, it cannot give you success - many BW actors have failed in this regard, so your argument is simply invalid. Moreover, he has proven himself a bankable actor outside his home production and a good one at that - one only needs to look at the facts here. Even in movies that didn't do well his acting was praised by both critics and the junta. Energizing conversation between two icons from two generations! Wanted to add that in 1983 Anil Kapoor had acted in a classy Kannada movie directed by future stalwart Mani Ratnam called Pallavi Anupallavi that went on to become a cult classic over the years. His costars were Julie Lakshmi & Vikram and Kiran Vairale.
Two of my favorite Bollywood movies are Parinda and Lamhe; both by Anil Kapoor. Amazing movies. Very different and offbeat from the run of the mill crap Bollywood dishes out and that too in those days.
Guzzarish was a great film and touched on people's right to a dignified life. The world is still not 100% together on the right to making a choice on dying with dignity. Every person has the right to choose. I would not like to live in a vegetative state or a burden on my family. My choice, no one has the right to make that decision for me
Guzaarrish not being hit? That’s absort of surprise but anyways I thought the movie was pretty cool and unique. Like Hrithik said it suits certain audience members.

Hrithik almost single-handedly rocked the Khan stronghold with his very FIRST movie and has been closing the gap on the 3 of them ever since. Would have been better if this was between Akshay and Hrithik.
If Hrithik wanted, he could have left khans stranded. He ruled the later part of 2000s and the earlier part of 2010s. I respect his decisions to do different offbeat roles which may have been flop, but are a mark of a good actor. Only thing we all want him is to do more films
