Yours is the prettiest Thomas cake I've seen. Could you please show in more detail the process of covering such a layered cake with fondant. I find my fondant always tears.
Hello, I need do this cake for my friend daughter. Just wondering how much each fondont did you with all the different colours. Especially how much blue fondant did you use. Thanks
I am trying to make your cake for my sons birthday. for the face and wheels you said that its in cm. is that correct or is it in inches? the cm seems really small for the size of the cake
hi there million thanks for this video. you said you cut 10" in half to attach to the side. was that 5" wide then cut in half again into 2.5" wide? thank you in advance fo your reply #fingerscrossed
Hi Angela, can you please tell me which cake you use for 3D Thomas train cake? I am eagerly waiting for your response as I am thinking to make this one for my son's 2 nd birthday. Many thanks
Hi Annie, Cutting the top off the cake gives it a straight area to work with so you can stack the cakes evenly. The tops are not used, so I just throw these away. I baked 2 x 10" cakes, one 7" cake and one 8", so four cakes in total. I cut the 10" half again in half from the second 10".
Hi, can you tell me the type of cake you have used for this? (or even better the recipe). it looks quite dense and easy to work with compared to my previous experience of making a 3d cake. many thanks.
Hi there, can you please tell me how large the circles are for the wheels? I am attempting to make this for my young grandchild's 1st birthday. I would be really grateful for your reply as I am now beginning to PANIC||||||
Hi Pauline, I used a 5.5 cm circle cutter for the wheels. If you don't have a cutter this size you can use one that is closest to this size as it won't make much of a difference. Hope this helps. Thanks, Angela
How many do you think this might serve - it is a lot of cake isn't it? Fabulous tutorial.

How many servings does this cake make?
This is nice ❤❤❤
When you say you cut the 10" top off is that what you made the 8" out of?? And where did you get the half 10" back into a half??
Hi Annie,
Cutting the top off the cake gives it a straight area to work with so you can stack the cakes evenly. The tops are not used, so I just throw these away. I baked 2 x 10" cakes, one 7" cake and one 8", so four cakes in total. I cut the 10" half again in half from the second 10".
Using the other half of the second 10" cut this down to size as the 8" and use this as the third piece for your 8" top stack
Hi could I ask how many servings do you think this cake feeds
Lol this cake is not for eating
Beautiful job.
+Satara Mc the kid is turning 2. hence the reason for the 2 instead of the 1

Why is Thomas number two
