Il fratello Ira scrisse il testo della canzone solo dopo la morte di George, per il film "Goldwin Folies" del 1938.

Note:
"Love Is Here to Stay" was the last composition that George Gershwin completed before his untimely death on July 11, 1937.
Brother Ira wrote the lyrics to the song only after George's death, for the 1938 film "Goldwin Folies"
