    damn nice collection ! it's very hard to find these things on the ground,i know because iv'e been hunting them for 3 years in Kansas City Missouri.My new find is a baking-potato-size ball of rust,that tested positive for nickel content,its at UMKC for further testing , but it;s not now or ever will be up for sale ,i didn't hunt for the money aspect,just local recognition !

      So what were the findings of what the chunk of meteorite tested for?

      @@hiyo9144 The very weathered specimen didnt test 5% nickel, so not considered (meteorite) yet the old metal /rock was not classified as earth origin, we dont know where it came from, never will.

    I loved your presentation -- I have a rock I wish I video under a better microscope than my current one.
    So I am saving up for my own boom microscope. (Yours is so nice!) This rock is like its own little planet. Before 4 months ago, I could not have told you the difference between an Asteroid and a meteoroid. Now? I am exploring Trans-Neptunian Objects. Every direction I turn it, this rock takes me on a journey! Say, can you give us a good macro look at the surface features of some of your meteorites?

      @@jessieianlabitad8669 oh ok, one way you can test to see if it's meteorite is putting a magnet on a string, then swinging the string with the magnet on it towards the meteorite and seeing if it clings to it. If the magnet sticks to it then it's meteorite

    I understand. I’m either drawn to them or They are drawn to Me. I have several in My collection (see on my YT channel) many are very old and weathered-mostly pallasite with high nickel content. Found around the 38th parallel in Missouri

    I think I have a rare meteorite gem it weighs 8 ounces and looks like a tekite black like jet but when u put a flash light on it then is transparent and electric green with blue hues in green also yellow brown swirling bands on one side I thought it was green obsidian for the past 20 years until I went to knap a Arrowhead from it and glass pieaces chiped off sum light green others yellow and orange then the structure changed and it became a harder substance when I show people with and without light on most say kyptonite hoping to sell it
