As a former U.S. Airman who worked along side Brits on multiple deployments, I'd have a hard time being convinced to attack you guys. Your boys hooked us up with beer when we couldn't get any. That's something a man never forgets.
That's the secret to why you US Military boys love the Brits and us Canadians, we always have beer! I have stories from my Uncle (Ret. RCAF. Back when it was the Royal Canadian Armed Forces, no *real* distinction between the 3 branches) about being on exercises with American Airmen and Sailors and some of them are just bonkers, the fun they'd have together. He got to shoot some fun toys while liaising, said he always had great fun with your boys
As a UK man I can honestly say reading all of the love and support from our American brothers across the pond has left me overwhelmed and so proud to call you allies!! 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇺🇸🇺🇸💪🏻💪🏻🍺🍺
American here. I've only personally met a handful of British people in my lifetime, and they've been nothing but kind, wonderful people!! I love you guys across the pond.
As a British man I want to let all my American brothers and sisters know how proud and happy I am to see the thousands of comments outpouring love and support for our countries friendship. There may a vocal minority of predominantly Millenial or Gen Z agitators that give the impression the Brits do not like or even hate America on social media. I want to say that for the vast, vast majority of British people this could not be further from the truth. We know which side our bread is buttered on. Europe are our neighbours and friends, but the USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia are family. *cue Vin Diesel meme*
Feeling is mutual, I was in college and got to do a study abroad at Oxford (Hartford College) and July 4th you all rolled out the red carpet for me (and the other Americans there)…but when you all found out I was a soldier too (I’m an infantryman and my tattoos gave it away at the bar) you all treated me like I was the bell of the ball, lol. I don’t think I paid for drinks the entire night…
It was and still is a pleasure. Been in since 2003, so my bones are feeling it, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. Thank you for your kind words. I almost got my ass kicked in Oxford cause you all do this drinking game where you throw a pence in a beer and say “save the Queen”…I replied with not the nicest comment…you all love your Queen, lol.
I'm from the US and after helping the UK bitch slap the axis in two world wars. everyone should know our opinion is no one f@@cks with the UK and gets away with it.
As a retired U.S. Army Soldier and having served with British troops in Afghanistan and Iraq it would take lot for this to happen, but never will. Much respect for our friends across the pond.
The US Air Force is actually the smallest air force in the US. The Navy and Army have more active planes and pilots. I've got friends in those branches. It's actually kind of funny lol.
I'm a US combat veteran. I was deployed to Tikrit in 2009 where I lost a good chunk of my leg to an IED. while there I served with some British Commandos. They where some of the finest men i ever had the honor to shake hands with. Both as people and as Soldiers they conducted themselves in a manner the UK should be damned proud of. Some of the finest marksman I've ever seen as well. You learn a lot about a man when you're shoulder to shoulder. What the UK lacks in numbers it certainly makes up for with a VERY high standard. Enjoyed the video. You get a sub from me.
It's been decades since my discharge from the U.S. Navy yet, I still would find it hard to believe the U.S. military could actually be convinced to even try an invasion of the U.K. I'm inclined to believe that the world would see another Civil War over here before that could be accomplished.
Reunite Ireland 🇮🇪 that’s the only intervention I could see, but I think diplomatically that would be an issue. And when I say involved I mean supplying weapons.
Nailed it. And the "no overseas bases" qualifier... Comical. We've subsidized the militaries of our allies for 50yr. Wouldn't be close. Of course we never should. Fun hypothetical. Also, his morale point was very true.. The Japanese cowardly Pearl Harbor attack aside.. The Japanese fought to the deaths in a weirdly admirable way.

Just think this is all the stats on US military hardware vehicles ect. it’s not counting the US black projects and secret weapons that we have no clue about.
As an American, I can safely say this would never happen. No reason to even think that it would. Brothers to the end. I might also add, there's no use in saying the UK military is small, it's got the entire US military behind it operating as one.
I haven't watched the video yet, but I'm thinking in a total war, if the US completely lost its mind, it would eventually prevail. I can't imagine how incredibly bloody it would be, though.
I just pictured a US commander telling his men to hurry up and put on some British uniforms real quick to help prove this point, and the idea is amusing to me. Because there is enough respect between the two countries and our armed forces that I could almost see it happening, if it weren't that the very same respect would keep us from wearing said unearned uniform.
I served in Iraq alongside our British brothers during the initial invasion force in 2003 while in the U.S Marines. I have to say they were some of the friendliest guys I've ever met while maintaining a professional demeanour. They might as well have been part of our unit the way we got along and joked with each other. We frequently exchanged MRE items with each other and compared our equipment. I was glad to have them with us and it definitely added a sense of reassurance knowing how well they could fight. Oorah from you're brother across the pond. 🇺🇸 🇬🇧
I've met so many members of the British Army while I served over seas, I consider them my brothers/sisters in arms just like I do with my brothers here in the US. Much respect.

We're forgetting the UK as a whole "Kingdom" and looking at just the British Isles. There are a lot of countries within the former British Empire that are still technically apart of the UK, while autonomous like Canada (now we have a long border to protect) Australia, New Zealand and a whole lot of others.

24 years U.S. Air Force here and, I couldn’t agree more. I worked with the Brits many of times and they’re all solid dudes. I love how they’re prideful in ways that we take for granted with ourselves. On my last trip down range with them, at the end, one of them cut the patch off their beret and gave it to me. That’s the decoration I’m most proud of in my career. Sure, you can make yourself look good on paper for your commanding officers and get a medal but to earn that level of respect from a Brit is far more special to me. The big brother/little brother analogy is spot on.

Despite the current troubles, I am still proud of the country I served. The UK is the older brother that’s small in stature, the US is the younger brother that watched too many Rambo movies, got jacked and now looms over everyone. Meanwhile, Canada is that annoying little cousin we both tell to go bother someone else.
Analogy of Britain and the U.S.'s history: A man was raising a puppy, which turned rebellious and fought back, defeating the man and leaving to grow in its own. That puppy grew into Clifford the Big Red Dog and came back to be a friend to the man
I really like the brother analogy - the US is the younger brother. We had some pretty massive fights and went our separate ways but in the end, family is family and now you mess with one, you picked a fight with both.
As a first generation American, I can say that we love you Brits. We may not be blood-related, but our histories and fates are intertwined; where you fight, we fight.
Thats very kind, but actually almost all 'white' Americans have British blood. English American is by far the biggest ethnic group in America, by some margin.
I’m American, but of strong Scottish descent. So I probably am blood related to many in the UK. In fact, my family’s clan is alive and well in Scotland 😂

@Kush Epi What’s your problem? Why are you being so rude, is that big ego compensating for something, little guy? Oh and this is coming from an American ☺️🤚🏼 learn some manners ok?
The relationship of big brother little brother has always seemed more an older brother that’s smaller and younger brother that’s larger. We can gripe at each other but anyone else starting anything with the other better watch out. I’m a strongly patriotic American and I love our British brothers and sisters and hope to visit someday.
Pretty sure if anything got intense enough that our two governments decided to go at each other the boys in the two military's would tell them to go fck themselves and find another way to settle their differences. It's like he said it would be like us attacking one of our own states.
they're the older brother who hated us when we were born, but then protected us while we were little and growing. now that we've grown, and became stronger, we return that love.
I thought the exact same thing when he said that lol. Britain started as the older brother who bullied us till we learned to fight back. Eventually they realized it was better to be at eachothers backs then at eachothers throats. Especially when they realized we were now bigger than them haha. All jokes aside however, our nation's are bonded quite a lot like family. The roots of our country very much stem from those of the U.K. It's why once they no longer tried to dominate us they have become one of our closest allies.
Britain is our father,. We can't forget France though, if it wasn't for them our Revolution would have failed. So what does that make them? Our mother? Damn our parents fought a lot, it's no wonder we're so fucked up.

@@jb111082 we also invaded Canada twice. To be patted on the head and politely escorted back to our own border. Benedict Arnold was commanding in one invasion of Canada, where he was badly wounded. Badly wounded enough to no longer be capable of operating his farm. As there was no war wounded pensions at the time, he sold out to keep his family housed and fed. The last part is in the history books, but rarely taught in our schools. Still, while he admitted morale would be stricken badly by the loss of the navy and air force, he forgets the "get the fuck off of my goddamned lawn, you tosser!" factor. This is a hard scenario to watch. I can only say that we love and respect our brothers and sisters in the British military and we are an amazing alliance. This is not a battle that would ever happen. Now those who attack the British on the other hand would get a chance to experience the US's full aggression.
It definitely is. Once the US gain Naval and Aerial superiority and use the Channel Islands as a base of operations (Jersey and Guernsey) then the US could then really use it’s military might and, by time you invade on foot you’d be met with very little resistance if you get it right in the air and in the sea. Plan it right and you could invade from Northern Ireland, Scotland, and of course the the coastal towns. Coming in from Northern Ireland would give you access to the North which, would be crucial in pushing back British troops and ultimately winning.

As a US Marine, I can attest to the fact that it would be incredibly difficult to convince US troops to attack the UK. We've worked, trained and fought together for more than 100 years. They are our brothers in arms!
Ever since the Boston tea party we have only battled brothers, we fought like brothers then in the pettiest of ways, until as we got older we bonded to the point of actual brothers. Britain maybe the “mother” of the US but we have been brothers ever since, brothers fight and disagree but still have each others back when they need it

People may not want to fight for their leaders, but we both learned quite quickly, they will fight like the devil's behind them for their homes and families.
"I cannot defeat this man! I can only kill him".
Your right about one thing. We would never go to war against eachother. We have bleed together so much for so long it would kill both countries to even think about attacking our brothers.

No stronger bond than those started with conflict. I’m glad that the U.S. and England have such an unbreakable bond. I respect England whole heartedly.
@@roycropper698 odd, I seem to recall that Germany had things quite right on sea and air, but still didn't dare try to set boots on UK soil.

Britain is our smaller big brother. It came first, it taught us all we know, and it fought with us and toughened us up all our life.
And while like any brothers, we disagree with a lot of things, we know we are family, and blood is thicker than water. We’d protect them as they would us. And if we ever were forced to take over and attack Britain, I guarantee it would only be done with British citizens desires to be taken over and protected. IE: Dictator takes over, they keep having their weapons stripped and want them back, etc etc.
And whether they admit it or not, they would take us over or attempt too if the roles were reversed, only to protect us. Which considering the idiot running things currently, they might need too.
