Hi, I won't recommend cured resin exposed in direct sunlight, leaving it out in the sun for long periods, it will get soft, bendy and the color will turn yellow.
When adding stones do you let resin cure a little bit ? I’m wanting to add charms to resin but in my mind I’m like how are the objects I’m adding not gonna fall through t the front of first layer. Before adding objects there is a cure process for at least how long if there is one?
It really depends on the design you want. If you don't want the object to sink into the bottom let the first layer of resin become tacky or a little hard before adding objects. Now, the time of waiting will depend on the type of your resin, if you're using slow curing resin you will wait at least 2 to 3 hours. And If you're using fast curing resin, waiting time will be 45 minutes to 1 hour before placing your objects. This is based only in my experience and the type of resin I used. I hope this helps. 😊

Keychains are perfect
But book mark was little bending
Same resin is used for keychains
If u know the reason pls replyy
Book marks are thin and take alot longer to cure than thicker items
Hi Akshaya, actually there are a few reasons why your resin art is bendy and these are the common reasons.👇
1. It can be normal for some resins, when poured in a thin layer, to be bendy. Some resins, can be flexible after the full cure time. It may get harder by giving it more curing time.
2. Using old resin can collect moisture, especially if they haven’t been stored properly. That extra moisture makes your resin cure bendy.
3. Also, adding too much colorant or using colors not designed for resin they’ll add water to your resin. This water keeps your epoxy resin soft.
I had this same problem before, what I did was I bought a small container of different epoxies that I thought would be best for my resin projects and I tested which one worked best for me. I just wanted to try it and see it myself and it worked. 😅 You don't need to do this you can search on Google which epoxies are best for your projects. I hope this help. 🙂
