      Not only a Really Useful Loco but also a magnificent symbol of our strong partnership with the Alishan Forest Railway. And it will give our other two diesels a well earned break for some essential maintenance. [TA]

      Hi NGN - In December 2018 our smallest steam loco, Dougal, travelled to Taiwan and was a star of the Taiwan Sugar Railways celebration. This Facebook post tells a little of that story.

      @@WelshpoolSteam Oh yes, now you mention it I recall seeing something about that in a book or magazine. It really is amazing how a little Welsh light railway has become such an international star. Not many can say they’ve featured locos from Austria, Finland, Sierra Leone, Romania, and now Taiwan!
