looking forward to more vids , one small bit of advice when filming in sun make sure the subject ( engine ) is on a bench in the sun so we see it more clearly , thanks
I once took a mini engine apart in the living room when the wife was away. I got oil on the carpet so moved a rug over only to discover she had laid the rug over a paint oil stain she had made
What l really want to know Steve ......ls who cleans your overalls ! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 ......you mucky pup !! 😄 lt really didn't make sense as to why it was seized . I rebuilt a couple of mini engines back in the. day ( early '70's ) they both lasted less than a 100 miles !!! Thanks Steve
You do remind me of my 18yr old self!!😂…….can I send you some gloves?……Great video
I do and don't wear gloves, as I prefer barrier cream 👍
You made it look so simple, good job!
The stripdown is the easy bit, getting it right on the rebuild, that's the bit that matters 👍
Nice Sunday morning viewing before I go out to do a bit on my P6... Thanks Steve.. (Phil)
Cheers Phil 👍
Engines from that era needed a refresh after 60,000 miles anyway… head off for a decoke, new rings, timing chain, maybe new bearing shells….
Very true, it’s the days when engines could be stripped and rebuilt with a simple tool kit 👍
What is the white pen you used to mark the pistons?
Just any white paint marker pen, I get them off tool vans Boxo do them 👍

I think it because I too the plugs out last year, and the damp has got inside it. Well it's getting rebuilt now so all should be good 👍
