If you're interested in learning, I'd start off reading "Chemistry: The Central Science". It's starts off at a basic level, and slowly works up. It can be a little overwhelming at times.

His explanations are no higher than a High School chemistry teacher who got Cs in college chemistry. I know. I hated that but I did really well in biochem, math, and ultimately teaching basic chemistry at the University level. This guy really needs basic science teaching instruction. Sorry. But frankly you aren't helping anyone.

Actually Alexander Borodin first observed this reaction in 1861. So it would be more correct to call this reaction "hunsdiecker-borodin reaction"
