You can tell from the dust on the sides that those pieces were already broken before you found them. They may have been laying perfectly lined up, but you didn't bust them up. Great, great finds again Chris. Love those little plates, they're so sparkly!!! Trick is now to get there just as the sun is coming up, hike to the pile you left, pack it out and then get back and load up again before the sun goes down.

I love the little sparkly plates, too. I've never found gold, but I bet it's a similar feeling. At least for me, I think it would be. I'm really thinking about the double up trip, but I really want to get up to those higher up outcrops where the trees are. My intuitions often pay off. But the higher up area isn't going anywhere, and the pile I left might if I don't recover it. I'm going out there this weekend, so I'll decide while I'm hiking in.

Dang! It had to of been hard to leave that honey hole you were in. Those were worth the efforts. Wow!
It was very hard leaving that spot. I went back out there this last weekend and couldn't find it. I didn't spend a lot of time looking, and it's definitely hidden good. I had a different location that Iwanted to get up too but I do intend on getting back to that honey hole.

At first thought you were claim jumping but seeing where you are, youre not...was up there few weeks back and got a good idea which to way to hike...yes, its a hike to get where your at thanks for this sharing this video....
Yeah, I've done some serious scouting all over those mountains in the last year. I've only seen claim markers in a few locations out there, but I believe the claim you're referring to is the old Purple Heart mine. I
Stay off it. Besides, there's Purple Gold everywhere out there. There's no need to jump someone's claim Besides, thats pretty disrespectful. I've found so many locations where there's Purple, and it's on virgin grounds. Besides, it's no longer called The Purple Heart mine. A friend of mine now owns the claim since the old owner didn't renew the lease, and now it's been re staked and re named The Purple Blessings mine. I do have permission from my buddy to be on his claim. I just haven't gone on it yet. This place is just amazing, to say the least. I agree! I would definitely name him Tank. With my luck, Tank would be stubborn and have a mind of his own. Tank would think he was the boss and would have no problem showing me he was. Tank would be unmovable and would march to the beat of only his drum. 9 out of 10 times, I would end up carrying my findings myself since Tank would refuse to. A burro named Tank sounds like a great idea until I really think about it. Lol..

Wow Chris! You found some awesome stuff this time! The beautiful clusters of citrine and amethyst are just gorgeous! I can't believe you actually carried that much out of there! That's determination! Those big clusters are just amazing, covered in large druzy quartz crystals in clear, amethyst, citrine and smoky quartz druze. It's gorgeous and amazing. You are getting good at locating the pockets of amethyst. That's awesome! Awesome video! I really wish I could do this hound with you but with my handicap, I can't hike anymore. I don't have real good use of my right leg. I can't get my knees to bend anymore so I'm stuck on more even terrain. It sucks but at least I can walk! Great video! And great finds! Love that amethyst!

I still haven't found what I'm looking for, but I'm getting really close. Bigger crystals!! Not crazy big but bigger than what im finding. I love and I'm amazed that I can go out there and find what I do. You and I both can't believe I carried that much out of there, but I had to carry it. My backpack was out of room! Lol.. Awesome!! You'll have a great time out there, I'm sure. I'm pretty sure I'm going out there this weekend. I just haven't decided if I'm going tomorrow, Sunday or Monday. Tomorrow will be the coolest day, but all weekend is low 80s.

Hey bro, you been out to that old shack on the back side of the mountain? I went out there about a month ago and I kid you not, up near the water troughs I saw a frog hop by with a baby frog on its back. The road I was on went through a huge iron mine, I looked it up, and that same road took me all the way to Tecopa. It was such a beautiful day, Its nice out there. Once again awesome video and awesome finds. My asthma is being a bitch. As soon as I get over this I'd like to meet up with ya one day. Take care buddy and keep the cool vids coming.

No, I wasn't. You know where that road ends right. On the left and up a bit is the claim. I've been hiking in to the right. I'm hiking in kinda west of the claim. I looked up that claim you're referring to with the CA. BLM office, and that claim is for 20 acres. I'm way far in and up from that. I'm surprised there aren't more claims in there.

I agree!! I'm definitely going to follow that seam up that mountain to the trees. It's got to be bigger up there. So far, it's been getting bigger as I'm going up.
