Every single person I've seen play this character does fireball the first time they try to do the nail anti air. Capcom really did make all of her moves backwards.
This happens with so many characters across so many games, and instead of my brain thinking "there are no consistent rules, learn this character in particular" it just defaults to "no, this is wrong" every time.
She's pretty hard to autopilot because she has a lot of different normals and combo routes to use depending on the situation, as opposed to characters that can just do the same thing over and over again in any situation.
@@newwick yeah despite there being a lot of analogues to his moves, their applications varies a lot. I was hoping she'd play more like him but i'm also pleased with what we got.
@@feri7mbleBro I tried it in 4 it went... Okay, could barely do it in 5 (Kolin and Geif on the side) and I desperately need to do it in 6 cause I main Manon... I can't. But multiple games is a no no.
I play like 5 different games a day. And wish to play 10-15. (Sad that there isn't mokujin planned for T8) It's a matter of being content with just near-average results. Even if average won't be winning you scrat in tournaments and considered as a low rank, for some reason.
@@TheOblomoff okay thanks for your input. I mean, I still play Need for Speed Heat, Cup head and Sekiro but playing multiple fighting games I could 'never do it. And I dunno why I'd rather suffer through with Manon than pick up another character, when I try it just.... Bores me
Its good to see other people struggling with this character. I think shes good i like all the stuff she does but she is not intuitive. All of her normals feel like im drunk lol.
I went 3/10 in my placement matches and the game decided to put me in Plat. That system is the worst part about ranked, it's a lottery ticket pretending to be a calibration. lol

Highest rank you can get to is defined by whatever your highest ranked character is like if your master for example and win 6/10 it's guaranteed diamond one
Nobody is doing well (Unless you're pro and don't have a job) in ranked because AKI is new, and you're playing against people who know how to play the existing characters. It makes sense. I play arcade (hardest) till I can at least beat it with minimal losses, then I go to placement, because placement is broken; it throws you into waay too high of a rank at times. I did my placement matches with Kimberly... Got smoked 4-5 matches... The other 5 matches I barely made it out alive and I got placed into mid-diamond where I just got continually smoked. I basically stopped playing Kimberly in ranked.

Yeah it's an interesting design decision, her inputs are the exact opposite of what you'd expect them to be.

Can confirm. I got placed into Diamond with AKI... now I'm Plat 3 😞😂
I played nothing but F.A.N.G in SF5 and literally none of that has carried over to A.K.I.

My AKI got absolutely destroyed when I went on ranked, 2 ranks lower than my Juri. She's way harder than she looks on both control types.

I think it's a matter of experience, I couldn't do it in SFV (my first fighting game) and I can in SF6.

That has to be the worst Marisa ive ever seen, playing like an iron player, no combos and using the least damging combo ender for confirmed combos

@@brodouken257 Yeah Diamond 1 is the limit, so this must of happened so long ago that they forgot where they placed.
