I don't think it's red wine vinegar on the lays. I think it's malt vinegar. You guys were so wrong to have used white vinegar at the start too! Us Brits love malt vinegar and salt on our fish and chips, and I'd wager that's where this snack flavouring comes from originally. EDIT: So it seems that the Irish company Tayto were the first crisp manufacturers to add seasoning, and started off with the flavours Cheese & Onion, and Salt & Vinegar in the 1950s. Salt & Vinegar was already popular on chips in fish and chip shops in Ireland at this point, and is likely where he got the inspiration of the flavour from.

Some things to note:
1. You don't have to buy a t-shirt. You can submit an entry through mail (most sweepstakes allow this).
2. You must be 18 or older. You must reside in the United States or Canada, excluding Rhode Island.
3. Limited one entry per person, household, and phone number. (i.e., don't double up on these)
Personally, I don't understand how the golden t-shirt fits into this. Especially since it's premade. Perhaps they have the design in multiple sizes, I don't know.
My guess is they can easily make another one in the correct size. Quite a few of their shirts are printed on demand.
