If I'd ask my ex for help he'd either get upset from "going to work" and wanting to relax or expect "it" as a reward, getting mad when I wouldn't provide after cleaning and taking care of the kids alone all day and only wanting to take a shower. With the same ex, when I was pregnant, I was the only one working, cleaning and caring for our older kid and didn't get to "relax" after work. I hate double standards.
Yup, same here. And unless I'm making a lot of food, it really isn't hard at all to clean up after you cook. For example, if I just make eggs, I'll use one pan and a bowl, which is so easy to wash out when I finish, but for some people, it's the most difficult thing in the world ?? 😭😭😭
@@XxAshleyRaynexXyeah with my ex, it was “he cooks, I clean; I cook, I *still* clean.” We both had similar-paying jobs, his in the computer industry with no weekends, set schedule, predictable lunches etc, and I’m in healthcare, with all the life-and-death chaos that entails, and very long hours. When I ultimately had a bout with burnout, his answer was to do even less, lean into his hobbies more, and after 20+ years together, find someone who was more “fun” and dip out. I was devastated he left and felt such shame and guilt, that I ended up getting a therapist. When she pointed out that yes, I had been having a rough patch, but that he didn’t care enough to help and be kind was a “him” problem, not a “me” problem, and a big contributor to burnout in the first place was having increasingly No Help With Anything. We didn’t have kids, and my heart goes out tenfold that have a partner like this who do, but I felt like I had a kid in how he behaved and how I had to take care of him. I was devastated when he left, but in almost every way my life has been so much better and generally easier, once I got through the initial heartbreak. It’s amazing when someone you pour your love out to also gives it back. I never knew what that was like or that it was a Thing. But it is, and it’s how it’s supposed to be. Much love to all here who had to go through the valley with the Takers, or who are still there. There’s more out there, friends.

I think, these kind of TikToks are rooted in the boomer humor, the kind of "hahaha i hate my wife, wife bad". This kind of humor was a copeing mechanism in the times, where divorce was not a thing. Its a bit similar when a schoolkids joke about that they don't started on the assigement yet, and the other sais, "yeah, same".

@overlordfemto7523I thought I told you, talk to ME, coward. What tf are you afraid of? Someone actually tearing into you the way you attempt so terribly with everything else?
My boyfriend encouraged me to dress how I wanted when all my life growing up I was always told to cover up to uncomfortable degrees. He hypes me up and helps me shop when I feel nervous about it. He also is happy when I socialize/make new friends/go out because he knows it's beneficial. I don't understand why other men have to act possessive and not let their girl go out. That's not love; love is encouraging the other to feel better about themselves.
Some people have trust issues. It's literally about trust and communication. There ARE people out there who lie. There ARE people who are in relationships and also go out for hours on end doing who knows what while the other person is waiting at home.
@@chris135x That does not excuse possessive controlling behaviour though. You cannot limit a human being's freedom just because you have trust issues. That will not heal those trust issues either. You have to do the inner work yourself instead of taking it out on your partner cuz that's just wrong.

Yes, Russell from Up. Actor Jordan Nagai. Currently an adult, but was a child when the voice recording was made. It is a cringe voice line to make jokes about partner's naughty bits.
Also, happy wife happy life is supposed to mean if you make your wife happy she won't bother you. As in men genuinely couldn't understand why their wives were upset at them and "nagging" until it was worded that when your wife is happy, she won't complain
yeah I hate to say it but she's too young to know what it was like for husbands of the 80's and 90's when the phrase was most used, so I get how she misunderstood the meaning.
"Nagging"? Have you really missed the point she was trying to make?!?! JUST. FREAKIN'. LISTEN. It shouldn't be THAT hard for you to understand your own wife. Like, were boys born in your generation EVER taught to listen to other people, or just have conversations and socialize? Are you really THAT socially dense, to the extent that you can't pick up subtle hints? I am high-functioning/Asperger's autistic, and even I can understand more than you! If Someone is "Nagging" you, it's probably because they need help with something, and it is NOT NORMAL to dislike your spouse. If her personality was really THAT toxic, like you make it out to be, why did you marry her in the first place? I AM NOT TRESS, I AM HER DAUGHTER, TAY. WE SHARE AN ACCOUNT. 🙃🙄💔
13:37 This made me so angry. My dad would never do anything around the house, didn’t have a job, didn’t take care of me or my siblings, and my mom had to do literally everything. I remember she went into labor with my fourth brother and she was rushing to get the dishes done while having contractions because she knew they wouldn’t be cleaned again until she got back from the hospital
the tiktok of the guy covering his girlfriend with random clothes gives the same energy of ralphie’s mom dressing his younger brother for school in the christmas story movie
as a bisexual woman in a long-distance relationship with a man, i cannot even fathom the distrust about outfits. i send my boyfriend pictures of my going out with the gals for drinks outfits all the time and not once has he been angry about what i'm wearing, instead supporting how i look and saying how lucky he is to have me. if we can have that trust while living 8 hours apart so can any of y'all. if someone is controlling how to choose the dress, wether its a partner or family member, take a step back and wonder what their intentions are and how this control makes you feel. you deserve nothing but to feel constant love, support, and to feel at home in your own skin.
@overlordfemto7523 wow, considering you’ve never met me that’s incredibly rude and hurtful. cheating in any circumstance is ALWAYS wrong and quite literally the most hurtful thing you could ever do. maybe go touch some grass instead of harassing people in a youtube comment section
The only time you should stop your partner before they leave the house, is in situations like; they don’t know that they’re trailing TP, they have their top inside out, their zipper is down, etc. And then you let them leave with that information to do what they want.
I would also argue that specifically the jacket wasn’t bad because (on its own) that could easily be a case of “hey, it’s gonna be quite cold out, don’t forget to bring a coat or something”. But the video shown here went WAAAAAY beyond that so it obviously wasn’t the case there.
I'm dressing for myself, and also for people with a similar style to mine complimenting my outfit. That's it no flirting or anything, I just like looking cool and other cool people noticing it
the silent one especially disgusts me because it feels so infantilizing. she was written in the skit to be huffing, pouting, and stomping like a child. she is being dressed with no contribution from her. i don't care if it's a joke, it reflects how he views his wife and women in general.
@overlordfemto7523Why on earth are you all over this video's comment section??? This content isn't directed at you, and you aren't going to change anyone's mind!
Men get all the benefits from being married (free emotional/ physical/ sexual labour and as a result living longer or getting wage increases) and hate women even more for that.
so for one, women on average live longer then men, men dont get to just have sex all the time, nor do they get emotional support most of the time. the reason they get wage increases is because they often work harder then women, there are several studies proving that.

@overlordfemto7523sad you can't trust someone you supposedly "love". Also sad how many arguments you think you need to start with everyone over everything... maybe you can't love either... or have a life outside of this
I also believe in the splitting of chores with the expectation of pregnancy, recovering from an injury or medical procedure, illness, etc. If my future wife and I decide to have children and she's carrying the baby then she's allowed to at any time to ask me to do more of the chores that day or even for the rest of the pregnancy. The same goes for if she's sick, recovering from something, or any other situation where she needs me to help out more. If she wants to try to do something, then she can, but if I see her struggling, then I will step in and ask if she needs help because that's what being a partner is supposed to be
As long as I live, I will never understand how a man admitting to sexist behaviors seems like some sort of flex to him... No, dude. You're just showing me who I should avoid.
I (guy, 38, mlm) got into the stupidest argument with someone defending a guy who was complaining about being told to do chores by his wife all the time. (The defender seriously wanted to die on this hill. It was embarrassing) Like, bro…you are an adult living in this house. You should know what needs to be done by now. Just do your chores and you won’t have to be asked. It’s part of being an adult. Your partner isn’t your parent-nor should they have to act like your parent.
On "my wife ruins when I have fun." My sister's husband would watch her have a good time at parties, get more attention than him, being better liked. Going home he'd start a pointless fight _every single time._ Because that happiness was a gateway to independence. They're not married anymore.
24:00 Not that this changes much, but this audio is not from Bluey. It's from the Pixar movie "Up". The message definitely does not change at all and I agree with you 100%, just figured I'd point out the technicality in an understanding way before someone says anything irrational 😅
About the chores thing, splitting 50-50 when one of the people are pregnant is not fair, because one of them is doing 100% of the baby growing, so the fair thing is for the other part to take some of the house chores so it becomes balanced again. We know biologically that growing one new human consumes a lot of energy, so take that into consideration, and even more if it is more than one.
9:23 I gotta rant about these types of men. All these guys who dont want their partner to go out wearing certian clothes have this irrational fear that she'll blindly cheat with no hesitation the second some rich 6ft+ dude with huge muscles and 6pack abs and this n that will hit on her as if she wasnt in a monogamous relationship which sounds SO disrespectful to the women. Women cheating just cause some male model or some "chad" or some celebrity showed up & hit on her doesnt happen as much as men and incels think, its so shitty & immature to think all women just remotely cheat and/or swoon over any guy just because he has more muscles or money, especially when you go to r/niceguys and half the posts are millions of women turning guys down because they have boyfriends. If a woman does cheat, she's foul for that, dump her, but I wish guys would stop seeing women as robots who will cheat on them with anything with abs and muscles, to any guys reading this, let your gf wear what she wants, how would you feel if she policed what you wore? not good I'll tell ya that

I have to talk about the straights I work with. We work in a clinic and most of the clinical/nursing staff are women and most of the doctors are men. These gal’s husbands won’t let them talk about work because they get jealous of the male doctors they work with. I said out loud that is not normal! My dad sometime makes the “haha wife makes my life miserable” jokes, especially one that goes “Two old friends meet after some time and one says “oh I heard you got married!” and the other says “yes”. The first one goes “so you must be happy!” and the other replies “yeah, I must be” and it makes me quite uncomfortable. He’s nowhere NEAR this bad, though, he does help with his fair share of the housework and is otherwise a great dad, it’s just these jokes sometimes…
very minor point: the audio from the last one is from the movie Up, not Bluey, but your point still stands because the voice actor who did Russell's voice was 9 years old at the time.
I don't understand men who say "You can't go out like that unless I'm with you" men are going to look at her/perceive her either way. And can you imagine how "oppressed" men would say they are if their gfs/wives dictated how they could dress and how they spent their free time??
Have you not witnessed marriages where the wife just picked what the husband should wear and wouldn’t even let him attend to office parties? Some people regardless of gender and sexuality are insecure and they like to control their partners.
You are so so brave. As a trans man my tik tok is just filled with hot goth girlies and cute cats and dogs and sometimes ducks and goats. But also you are amazing and very pretty! Have a great day
Sometimes i think the only straights who are okay are the very crunchy mom couple. They seem to have a genuinely healthy relationship while making "couples comedy" type content. There's a wholesome undertone that I've yet to see in these super weird not okay straights
I get not wanting to do chores, but they have to get done! Usually I’ll bitch about doing it while starting the chores just to get it out of my system, i just bitch about it in my head tho, not so much outloud😂
Hey Queer Kiwi, I’m getting kinda tired of that one fanboy commenting on every one of your videos with his 30 accounts, would you mind blocking them? Your advice to the first guy is what me and my husband do actually😅. I rarely enjoy loud/crowded events so he goes alone or with his friends and I stay happily home enjoying my peace and quiet, we still love each other and spend lots of time together too, just in other ways we both enjoy 😊
i love dressing cute for other women and cool people tell me i look cute in my outfit cause i hate starting conversations but i love telling people they look nice!
14:17 people who are pregnant are ALREADY DOING a full time chore for the couple. It's a chore that cannot be split evenly. If y'all decided to have that baby, the partner who isn't pregnant should pick up the slack!
I just wanted to add something about the "he never tells my secrets cause he wasn't listenning". It infuriates me when some people just randomly start talking, almost in media res, without calling for your attention first, or without checking if you're listenning. Like, I have a life, I do shit. There’s plenty of things my partner and I don’t want to go to together. The cinema is the perfect example, he’s been 4 times this year, I’ve been 24. We just don’t have the same taste in films, for example I’m seeing Passages on Tuesday and he would hate it.

In a functional and healthy relationship between two emotionally intelligent and compatible adults, you wont have to deal with that BS. You not wanting that has nothing to do with you being aromantic and asexual. I'm hetero myself, possibly grey or demi, and would NOT put up with such behaviour past one date.
For the first guy something that gets me is that the first two things she supposedly says to hurt him is “I’m tired, I’m sick” like if my partner said they were sick my first thought wouldn’t be “ugh trying to ruin my fun!”
I'm sorry but my inner Pixar child is positively bonkers at the fact that you said that sound clip was from Bluey, it's from Up. I'll shake my fist mildly frustratedly at you, grrr!
This is why I don't want a man. Bisexual (70% into women tho) but I have decided to date women only since waaaay long ago because men always disappoint me... I haven't closed the door entirely to men, but they aren't my primary focus when dating anymore. I recognize there are good men out there but I haven't yet seen one. And before anyone says something: no I don't "hate" men as individual people, I just think most of them (in my experience!) are lazy and/or cruel towards women, and I need someone to prove me wrong lol ;)
Tik tok is full of these kinds of “my wife ruins me life by asking me to do household tasks I should be doing without being asked” and then there are videos of divorce lawyers being like “I see a pattern of divorces that are initiated because them woman is doing everything at home and also working” and then the comments are just of bunch of men who don’t believe that could possibly happen.
The thing about paying attention reminds me of a really great joke in Meet the Robinsons, where the Gym Coach is helping judge the science fair despite being unqualified because "It's My Gym...". At one point Louis is planning to present his invention to allow people to relive old memories and when he says which date he'll be using the Coach jumps in with "Why that particular time? *looks at the others smugly* You didn't think I was listening, did you ;)?"
Blessed my man doesn’t act like this. Too many times he has been called a b!tch, not masculine and not even a man at all for helping me with things, especially while I was pregnant with our twins. Being a straight couple, I never got how people could still be in relationships like this, but then I remembered how the divorce rate is so high between straight couples.

Men are taught that a good husband does things he doesnt want to. They r not taught that relationships need to be nurtured daily. They r taught to shut up and do things, not that these things have value and improve daily life. So we get lots of men who r bitter and feel unappreciated (Which is comical when you understand how complicated this entire thing is) The husbands feel like they're giving up so much and stay quiet yet the wife asks for help cleaning. The men get no time to be a person. Again, comical when you realize how much deeper this all goes.
Toxic masculinity strikes again! *shakes fist* Honestly though, insightful observation. Men are often taught to do a thing and then transactionally get something out of it, but actual relationships are usually much more complex than that.

My ex stepmother in-law had an "I cook you clean" for me but also if I cooked it was "you cook, you clean" basically it was I clean and no one else does anything.

The same goes for if she's sick, recovering from something, or any other situation where she needs me to help out more. If she wants to try to do something, then she can, but if I see her struggling, then I will step in and ask if she needs help because that's what being a partner is supposed to be

Just do your chores and you won’t have to be asked. It’s part of being an adult. Your partner isn’t your parent-nor should they have to act like your parent.
Some guys really do want a mother instead of a wife. "Man-child or Oedipus complex" is a difficult game.
On "my wife ruins when I have fun." My sister's husband would watch her have a good time at parties, get more attention than him, being better liked. Going home he'd start a pointless fight _every single time._ Because that happiness was a gateway to independence. They're not married anymore.

About the chores thing, splitting 50-50 when one of the people are pregnant is not fair, because one of them is doing 100% of the baby growing, so the fair thing is for the other part to take some of the house chores so it becomes balanced again. Omg that guy around 19:00 is so damn condescending I cannot fathom being treated like that.
He cares about his girlfriend and doesn't want her to be a hoe bag
The insecurity is palpable
Like a small child. It's icky

@@professorfoxtrot bruh, stfu. Girls should be able to wear whatever tf they wanna wear. No one gets to have a say in what women choose to wear- not even their partners. -_-
24:01 random thing, the audio isn't from bluey! it's from the move "Up" and the character was Russell
(i still think the video is weird af though)
so very off topic but i need to point out you outfit! the watercolour earrings paired with the rainbow polka dots on the undershirt(?) is so pleasing to my brain. you always pull off bright colours so well but this one is just lovely!

There’s plenty of things my partner and I don’t want to go to together. The cinema is the perfect example, he’s been 4 times this year, I’ve been 24. We just don’t have the same taste in films, for example I’m seeing Passages on Tuesday and he would hate it.
Me, I just love movies.
But I don't go to cinemas because there are other people there lol
@@Nerobyrne I like to go on my own to mid day, midweek showings, much quieter.
As a 30+-yo aroace who has never been in a relationship and doesn’t want to, it’s already hard to understand why people would want to be in relationships in the first place. And then I see these and I’m utterly lost. Why would anyone be willing to deal with that???
In a functional and healthy relationship between two emotionally intelligent and compatible adults, you wont have to deal with that BS. You not wanting that has nothing to do with you being aromantic and asexual. I'm hetero myself, possibly grey or demi, and would NOT put up with such behaviour past one date.
It's generations of brainwashing
For the first guy something that gets me is that the first two things she supposedly says to hurt him is “I’m tired, I’m sick” like if my partner said they were sick my first thought wouldn’t be “ugh trying to ruin my fun!”
my momma used to do a lot of "annoying my husband" tiktoks until the angry old men of hamradiotok got mad at her for lovingly mocking him
I'm sorry but my inner Pixar child is positively bonkers at the fact that you said that sound clip was from Bluey, it's from Up.
Some of these men seem as if they don’t like their mothers and project it onto their partners
6:15 - why is he talking to her like he’s a middle school English teacher 😭
Tik tok is full of these kinds of “my wife ruins me life by asking me to do household tasks I should be doing without being asked” and then there are videos of divorce lawyers being like “I see a pattern of divorces that are initiated because them woman is doing everything at home and also working” and then the comments are just of bunch of men who don’t believe that could possibly happen.
2:14 Henpecked Husband? Wow, that’s so original. It’s brand new as a concept lmao
Hey girlie some incel made a video on you, they also immediately said what channel it was so they could come in and attack/spam your comments. Hope all is well sorry that you have to deal with some incels. 😔
19:28 this TikTok made me think of my Dad. Because it reminded me of a father telling his daughter to not leave the house like that. And it makes it very upset.

I don't think that was from Bluey, it was from Up, a movie that probably premiered when _he_ was a kid, but I get it. I'm more upset at the entitlement of just _expecting_ a shaved kitty all day everyday, that's so weird, especially if you know the shower gymnastics people have to go through only for it grow back in like two days. Have several sits, sir.
I only know two straights that are ok and they’re my mom and my stepdad

Men are taught that a good husband does things he doesnt want to. They r not taught that relationships need to be nurtured daily. They r taught to shut up and do things, not that these things have value and improve daily life.
So we get lots of men who r bitter and feel unappreciated (Which is comical when you understand how complicated this entire thing is)
The husbands feel like they're giving up so much and stay quiet yet the wife asks for help cleaning. The men get no time to be a person.
Again, comical when you realize how much deeper this all goes.
Toxic masculinity strikes again! *shakes fist*
Honestly though, insightful observation. Men are often taught to do a thing and then transactionally get something out of it, but actual relationships are usually much more complex than that.
"Help cleaning".
Their fucking house, they both are obligated to clean. It's not help, it's doing the minimum.
@@KireiC very well put

Woman doing more mental load and chores in a relationship with a man. It is just frustrating and sad that it has to be that way.
But y'all want the man to take all the financial load
@@SosukeTYBWno, you want a woman to be financially dependent on you. That's not a "standard" most modern women have it's one that you made up.
@@Jell0be3n if it's not then why are there thousands of videos of modern women saying even though they can make their own money the man still needs to pay the bills, pay on dates, etc and also refuse 50/50 relationships? Explain that
@@SosukeTYBW okay, heavy on "most modern women" and also, that's a huge exaggeration especially because I'm very sure you haven't watched or seen thousands of videos let alone of the content you're describing. Just because you've seen a few videos of people pushing a narrative (probably not how they're like irl because Internet and reality are two very different things) doesn't mean you can make your one experience the reality. Also, don't say that women do the same thing with men because what men do to women is a reality. Not a narrative on the Internet.
@@SosukeTYBW I have yet to find anyone other than men to refuse a 50/50 relationship.
