I love MSV color variants, and I missed the first release of the Amored Alex, so this was an absolute snap-buy. I also really like the off-white color; makes it feel more retro sci-fi in a way.
I like the off white a lot too. I just am not really a fan of the red paint in certain parts of the main body. Feels a bit crass and random vs the clean look of the original color scheme. I bought it anyway because I didn't get the og one and the HG just sucks in pretty much every aspects imaginable. Until Bandai decide to do an RG NT-1, this will be THE representative of the 1/144 scale of Alex.
Does the arm armor stay on better on the prototype version? I have the normal armored version. Just like in your vid, it falls off easily. I know why: it clips together fine when not on the arms, but the tolerances are off just slightly enough to push it apart so it doesn’t click back together. I think I just need to ever so slightly shave off some inner plastic so it’s not pushed apart when equipped.
Yeah no Beam Rifle or Shield is shown in the anime. We do see it use it’s Beam Rifle in the SD Gundam episode where they go to Universal Century and see regular sized MS
I passed on this one, but am definitely hopeful and excited to see them release more 0080 figures. The previous 0080 Hygogg version anime was my first robot spirits to buy and what kicked off collecting them for me. Still one of my favorite figures.
GM Command would be nice, Z’Gok E, and a non PBandai GM Space Command…I want that thing so bad but the prices are crazy. I feel like they skipped a lot from 0080. Also, my body is ready for Thunderbolt suits.
Yes but I probably won’t. I try to budget to get everything UC and if I dabble in SEED, it’ll be much more than I want to spend overall. If anyone locally to me gets them, I’ll review them

I love how it’s red and white since a lot of Amuro suits are red and white so it makes it feel like it was made for Amuro

Never knew this suit existed until the RD got announced. I kinda prefer these colors to the og alex.

My Prototype Alex has better arm armor but I think it just varies from figure to figure based on QC

I love the wrist cameras. But we never see the lazer machine gun in the anime. Only In the simulation flight test are we eluded to another gun !!!
