- Round 3 of my Anime Intelligence Tournament, who will win between the two most famous intellectual capable twisted protagonists in anime? Lets find out.

I'll admit this myself, I wasn't expecting Light to win going in this, but I seemed to find there to me more things favoring Light. I'm sure it can be argued for several of these categories but it seems to me that Light has just as impressive feats as Lelouch and is more consistent overall.

This round was the most anticipated, I think.
One dude achieved a World domination, 2nd succumbed to his God's complex and devolved into an absolute joke that was outwitted by his room-temp IQ pawns. How this can be even remotely close is beyond my level of intelligence. You could argue that a lot of Lelouch's feats lean more into organization, leadership etc. But those are still dependent on intelligence and he definitely had WAY more going for him, than Light. Also Geass may be one of the more convenient powers out there, but it's definitely more limited and harder to use than Death Note.
Well, when you only look at how they ended, you think things should be a certain way, but when taking into account the actions and knowledge they had and how they knew of it and how to use it, Light is a slightly more well rounded character with just as impressive feats as Lelouch and slightly more consistent than him. Schools apply this logic as well, asking you to explain your answers. You can't just say Lelouch won in the end and Light didn't therefore Lelouch is smarter. Correlation doesn't equal causation and explaining how you got your answers is just as if not more important than the answer itself. As well, we can look at both the first halves of these series and we find that the opposite happens with these two characters. Lelouch is trapped and brought before his father, having his memory erased and his life sparred while Light is shown manipulating a god of death and outsmarting the greatest mind in the world, L, killing him. As for their powers, the geass ability in which Lelouch had was far superior to the death note. Both have similar concepts in controlling peoples actions, but the death note was restricted to needing the name and face of a person while Lelouch only needed direct eye contact, meaning Light needs one more piece of information to actually use his powers. Another thing is that it takes more time to use the death note, having to write the name of a person while thinking of their face, then writing down the cause of death and details leading up to it, compared to the geass power Lelouch had which as soon as eye contact was made, Lelouch could give them any command and they'd do it instantly, allowing Lelouch to use his power much faster than Light can. Another thing is the death note was restricted to one individual, not allowing anyone who wasn't written in the death note to be directly affected by it, while the geass power after giving a command could have that person affect another person without problems. One final thing is that the death notes control over a person was restricted to only 23 days while the geass power has seemingly to time restraint on how that person is affected by it. Lelouch could just look someone in the eye and tell them to do whatever he wants and they'd do it forever, while the death note can only control the person based on what is reasonable for them to do which suggest unlikelihood for a person to do whatever Light wants if he were to request it in the death note. Furthermore, there are dozens of rules in the death note which I haven't mentioned, far more than the geass that only requires direct eye contact. This all shows that the geass power is far more powerful than the death note is.

I think I disagree with Light winning the "understanding of materials" section; I think Lelouch managed to understand more people and their intentions, and lead them to certain actions. I cannot recall the militant girl's name and her team, but Lelouch "recruited" them to join him and co-ordinated their actions with more people he manipulated for his ultimate goal. I think the scale of the number of different people he sways and finds should contribute to his points. I hope this makes sense. Maybe this section might be a tie.
It's close so the disagreement isn't unexpected or unfair to be pointed out. What I found was that Light seemed to account for more things than Lelouch did. Typically Lelouch accounts more for his own side of things while Light seems to take into account his own and the opposing side as well at least better than Lelouch does when considering what could happen which is somewhat proven when Lelouch gets cornered multiple times and Light gets out of traps that look like they could finish him off.

Glad you makes these videos as they are interesting and fun but I just can’t understand the purpose of some of these categories and point systems. Like why is it winner take all and not fractional for each category? As in 6-3 instead of what appears to be one characters getting 22 points from a section while winning two thirds of categories and their opponent getting 3 points instead of 22-11 which is a ratio that would track with how they did on each value. Idk man also some of these feats just cannot be compared. Light can bullshit all he wants to L but he could NEVER record a conversation that could distract L like LeLouch distracted schnizel
Thank you, the points are given based on which sections/categories hold more weight or value. Logical is the most valuable so it contains the most points to get but getting the logical category doesn't determine if you win or not. Winning that category/section gives you the worth of that category/section but in truth I've found out that giving the characters the total points of the type of intelligence like logical being 14 so the character gets 14 points for winning that section, is actually irrelevant to who wins in the end as that character that won the 14 points is actually already ahead in points so adding that total of 14 to their current score actually doesn't make a difference. Next time I do a tournament like this I will change it from adding the total points to difficulty points for winning each section. It still won't change the results but it'll show how hard fought it was over the categories/sections between the characters.

All of the Britannian family are publicly known, their names and faces, so Light could easily kill them all with the death note.
3rd : 1 - Cornelia Vs xingke deserves a tiebreaker. Armageddon!!!! Oh wait I have an idea please do a bonus mini-round : Akane Kurokawa Vs Kana Arima - for their musical intelligence. (Of course you'd have to watch Oshi no Ko 1st.) And then let the winner there that you see in advance represent Cornelia who won here and then the loser there represent xingke who lost here. So you achieve:
1a - Cornelia still advances
1b - tiebreaker between Cornelia & xingke
1c - comparison between KA & AK.

How about making a post asking for community description proposals and let community decide on the suggestions by upvotes ? I think it will get you more subscribers so people will know what your channel is about. Some could look at the channel description see nothing descriptive and then leave.

Wesley So, Bobby Fischer & Hans Niemann have never provably done anything evil in chess as adults.
Magnus Carlsen, Garry Kasparov & Hikaru Nakamura have provably done evil things in chess as adults.
Evil : Cheating, baseless accusations, discrimination, etc.

This is completely biased I mean Lelouch is master of contingency so how can Light take adaptability as he often don't have escape plans, I would believe if you says Light is more realistic but Lelouch is simply smarter!!

I don't know why are people on this debate.But i think they are pretty much equal.Intelligence wise Lelouch may win and in 1v1 outsmarting,FS,RLS(Influence )
However light will win in NFS,RLS(Scratch),Manipulation battle etc.

Yes, in my opinion Lelouch has the most impressive feat, but Light and L have just as impressive feats but are slightly more consistent which is what is favoring them.

@@RealLifechad If you take the first halves of both series and look at the conclusions of those the opposite happens between Light and Lelouch. Lelouch is caught in a dead end and trap, his father appears and erases his memory, only leaving Lelouch alive because Charles was after C.C. while Light on the other hand manipulates a god of death into killing L, thus Light outsmarting his biggest challenging and getting rid of everything in his way all at once. Lelouch might have the best feat overall, but Light and L would have more feats than Lelouch overall, which is the consistency that favors them over Lelouch. I didn't give Lelouch adaptability, that went to Light.
