The landscape in the background is epic. I use the Zpacks Vertice rain jacket for gusty wind-below freezing days, overlapping my synthetic puffy jacket. As for all these companies claiming their very own proprietary waterproofing material, simply...it is not. Virtually all companies use the very same waterproofing method on clothing, with various copyrighted branding. All(almost all), waterproofing material with catchy titles, is original Gore-Tex membrane. Another company ya may wanna consider for rain pants, is Compass 360. treat the pants with a can of waterproof spray, and they are good-to-go in any rain/windstorm. As with any pant, too much exertion/stretching, can weaken or break the seams, so always order one or two extra sizes up, from your normal size.
Good review/info. Just got a pair a couple weeks ago. I love them so far but they are almost comically wide, easy to get on over big boots but a little bit mc hammer-ish.
I have a lot of things Zpacks and have spent almost 1K with the. But that price is just crazy! I'm a person that has everything since I've been doing this so long but it would be really hard for me to spend the money on either the jacket or pants. Bite me mosquitos! lol
The jacket, I wasn’t impressed but as soon as I saw the material the jacket was made out of I knew I had to have the pants for the sole purpose of mosquito protection and for cutting with wind at camp when I put them over my shorts. The fact that they’ll protect me when it’s raining is just a bonus.
Awesome review. This really helped with my buying decision- thank you.
Just received my pair… super light. Hoping they are as comfortable as you say against the skin😎 Thanks for the review!
I've been eyeing these... Now I might buy them.

These run really big so I wouldn’t size up.
I love my vertice rain pants too.
That's good news since I already ordered them a little over a month ago, I'm still waiting but I guess they are worth the wait, thanks for the review.
They are definitely worth the wait.
@@HikeOregon I just got notification that my order shipped today, maybe Zpacks read my post. ;-
