These tesco 90s mother and daughter adverts were entertaining. These adverts are basically a sitcom in their own right. Great walk down memory lane. I was reminded of these, because of the Queen's recent passing I saw the clip of her when she got excited and bounded down the stalls with her binoculars to see if her horse won when she was at the Epsom races in 1991; and she reminded me of the tesco mom by her actions and the way she was dressed. Also reminds me of something Hyacinth Bouquet (aka bucket) would do. 😁
Funny because all of the Tesco stores near me no longer have a fish or meat counters and all the checkouts are now self service machines, it's like they don't want staff interacting with customers anymore.
Love these adverts, such nostalgia and memories from the 90s! Had completely forgot about the “thingy” advert at 4:27, but funny how from watching it once after some 25+ years or so, certain standout moments like that makes you remember those adverts from yesteryear within the click of a finger (A bit like the dancing moose on the Maynard Wine Gums advert - yes that really was a thing!) ☺️
I've seen some people get close, to being that awkward and demanding on the front lines. I Still have fond memories of these adverts though, laughed my ass off....Nostalgia
I know Prunella Scales can't do it anymore as she is ill but I am still bewildered as to why Tesco don't do adverts like this anymore as they're all so samey now.
With a chemistry like that, clearly all Kate must think of Dotty is stuff like, "She's a witch! I _hate_ her..." and "FML!" 7:09 - Oh, look! Dotty must've found her way to Balamory!
From nowadays view there is no little helps😂. It must’ve been really nostalgic to shop 20 years ago. But I didn’t stay in the UK until 5year ago. Everything changes so quickly 😢
Hey, I remember when I was in England many years ago and these were on t.v and I recorded some on vhs and sent lots of British stuff back to my mother and she said all Brits were crazy bats..😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@Gaming_with_JackoYes it her but unfortunately despite starring in these Tesco adverts she admitted that she herself doesn't shop at Tesco and branded the supermarket as being "full of screaming kids, pensioners holding up the queues and you find rather a lot of chavs in it" in an interview and she herself was branded snobbish and hypocritical as a result.
This makes me so sad in a way because it reminds me of when we still had some pride, culture and grace in our culture. Just look at that Christmas one with it evening mentioning Jesus. Would not see that now as we seem ashamed to have Christmas and Christian culture in our own nation. Since the 2000's it has all gone down hill.
Vauxhall Astra 3:47 - 4:10 It looked like a commercial for an Astra car. Seriously today's car commercials are just like this supermarket ad Let's go someone leaves a baby and they talk about the benefits of the car, like the safety of traveling in a Vauxhall Astra current car commercials are bad

I remember these well! The daughter reminds me so much of Kate from Benidorm.
This series of adverts were actually decent and funny.

Yes she sadly has Alzheimer's now, which is such a shame as she was REALLY funny in these Tesco adverts.

"Have this cheerful sole instead madam!" 😂😂😂😂😂
Oh good I found the chirstmas one.
Does anyone know any of the Tesco locations used in these ads?
Bracknell. As the store was always closed on Sundays as part of their lease agreement. So they could film with full shelves and no customers.
