I've been binging your videos all week learning and reinforcing new and existing principles. I am definitely a better analyst and see things a lot more clearly. Thank you sir for everything.
Great work Eric... As a small business expert, I'd say the list for a smaller business the list is a bit different. The biggest reason I see for failure over th years, is that a lack of expectation alignment. Defining what "success" means, is absolutely key. Second is a commitment by clients to invest their time to a schedule. Can't have a go-live timeline if you're not willing to commit time to make it happen. It's not just the implementation team that plays a role, it's a 2 way street. This has to be nailed down during the implementation agreement.
Honestly, I feel smarter with each video! Looking at growing my career down change management path into retirement (20+ yes away)... you are a great teacher!!
Beside that video is very prof. & easy to follow this is really Inspiring! Lots of solid information to consider and good start to any ERP project. I was laughing at the end, “best practice does not exists”. So true!
i like your advice " you are in charge of your transformation" because this kind of process is always under heavy pressure from other parties to take the lead from your hands under different allegations most of which is technical
Many thanks for this video Eric. This is a real world check list that I use i my ERP projects. But as you know it is not always easy to implement them. The business driven aspect is a tricky part since a project mgr often takes over a project after the technology has been selected. The other tricky part is the integration specially with those system that are under development or with the legacy system that you can't find either right documentation o people who knows them. All the best!
As per my experience Business driven projects generally end up with cost escalations. There has to be a balance between technology and business drivers.
The info from Eric is easily the most helpful from any online resource I’ve found on Digital Transformation.

This was a mini masterclass. Thank you. Slogging through Sage platforms for guidance as a small business in a stalemate, I needed this. Thank you.

Yes, managing expectation around time, scope, budget are key , need a steely PM at times to say NO to client.
Failure in exposure and response prevention, i thought
