Hello, your video is very informative. I am going with my family to Chiangmai in March and was thinking of going to Doi Ithanon. Could you please let me know which private tour you are using? Thanks in advance!
Could you list the transportation cost to all these places in Chiang Mai? My family of 6 will visit there in a month for 4 days. Our hotel is close to the town center, I wonder should I hire a dedicated van for our stay the whole time there. Thanks and have a good trip.
Hello, many thanks for your comment. The taxi app in Thailand is Grab (operated by Uber). Taxis : - from chiang mai to doi suithep temple was around 450 THB. - from doi suithep temple to wat pha lat was 10 THB per person (red taxis are cheap but it is also a different experience than normal taxis with air conditioning - from wat pha lat to hotel in Chiang Mai, there was no option so red taxi charged 400 THB for 4 people. For the second day, the entire day tour in national park with picking up and drop at the hotel, the cost was 1150 THB per person. Best wishes
Doi Suthep temple entrance fee is much more than 30 bath for foreigners. You forgot to compare the entrance fee for Thais v Foreigners at Doi Inthanon. Foreigners pay much more! All National Parks charge foreigners much more than they do Thais. Why? Because they can. The manic, dangerous traffic. The pollution. Take off those rose coloured glasses.
Hello, we remember that we paid 30 THB for the entry to the temple. You may be confusing with the doi suthep national park? www.triphobo.com/places/chiang-mai-thailand/wat-phra-that-doi-suthep I agree that in general foreigners pay a lot more than people from Thailand to enter tourist places. The traffic to pedestrians is indeed looked dangerous if one only follows the rules without observing the traffic and anticipates.

Also, we have not been there during the burning season. So we did not experience the pollution. Usually, it starts around January.
