I love your videos! Could you do one for Easter 🐣 ? We are going to visit Iceland on April 2025 with your little 2 years old daughter, and it would be so nice to know some of the 🇮🇸 traditions
Awesome to hear, glad the videos have been useful! That's a great idea, I'll put it on the to do list to make an easter video, you'll love visiting over our easter season! 🇮🇸
Now I have an image in my head of some Icelandic gorcery store commercial featuring Stekkjastaur checking out an entire shopping cart full of potatoes. : )
Wooho! And we can't WAIT to see you 🪩 the party will be inside but you will get a wristband so you can easily go out to check out the views and then go back inside when you want to! 🎉
How about any shops or resturants on Christmas eve, we are going to Akureyri in Northern Iceland - wondering if anyhthing be open and what to do if visiting?? Is it best to have an airbnb as can cook our own food?? Is this best?
Great question! Iceland food scene is very diverse and with high quality. We have lots of vegetarians here and all restaurants have fantastic vegetarian options :))
We nearly did the same thing last year and begrudgingly started planning for this year. We bought tickets October 6 for $730 each. They had sat at $682 for months so we figured we needed to asap before they kept going up. And yep, I’ve been getting notifications about flights being between $1.5k-2k! So I suggest buying before October if you decide to go next year. Oh and I’m only talking about JetBlue/icelandair. Play was significantly less money but we figured after fees it wasn’t that much less and we’d rather book on an airline we are familiar with.
oh wow, yes the flights to Iceland (and I think most places) really increase as the dates get closer! Another option would be to go for Summer 2025 - of Christmas/NYE 2026 booked with more notice and less price? 👀 Whatever you end up doing, I'm sure you'll love it here in Iceland when you do visit 🥳
We will be visiting extended family in Kópavogur, and will be there in time to try the kæst skata, but it is definitely something to be cooked outdoors🤢
Got our party tickets, cant wait to celebrate my wifes birthday and new years eve with evryone!
And we can't WAIT to have you! 🍾
We spent NYE in Reykjavik last (this) year. It was fantastic! Hope to do it again soon.
That's awesome to hear, glad you guys enjoyed it last time! 🥳

Hi! Can’t wait to celebrate New Years with you guys! Just a quick question, is the NYE party both inside and outside? Thanks!

Where's the party link? You said down below but it was only the tours? I'm a new expat in town and that sounds like a fun time for my first NYE!
Where do you recommend to eat on nye. Hope I haven’t left it too late to book
Is there any tickets left for nye party?

Hey again! The same rule of thumb applies there, where we recommend checking in with hotel restauraunts and doing so now!
Wow I want to visit Iceland for NYE!! I'm a vegetarian, is it difficult to find vegetarian food there?

Ég er svo spenntur fyrir jólunum þá kem ég heim til íslands frá spáni. Andalucia er helvíti

Yikes! Let me know how it goes! 😅
Now the party will be cancelled because of the volcano
No it sure won't! The volcanic eruption is only in a secluded area and not disrupting any or our tours or activities! ☺️
