Yeah, that box is so extra for how cheap the fabric was. It also gave me a useless 70ml bottle of Pilot ink, but someone told me this pilot ink is quite sought after, so maybe I will sell it? LMAO! It is also a pigment ink, which is water resistant/waterproof, so that's good for those who enjoy or need to use that kind of ink. Of course I'd get myself a fountain pen or two for my birthday ;) I get it when it's not, so it had to be a fountain pen on me birthday ^_^ Thank you for the birthday wish and watching!
Hahha the fabric looked like it would be nice but looks deceive! Pilot really missed an opportunity to pair it with a nice USA exclusive green/teal ink to match the pen! Like... a green/teal with gold shimmer or sheen! Haha yes, you can try to sell it! I think if someone is buying one of your pens (like the 580s you plan on selling...) it can be like an ink add on if shipping would be about the same? Hhaha that's true! My pleasure! I look forward to following more of your fountain pen adventures! 🥰😍☺@@KenchanKrafts
Wow, those are some beautiful pens! I especially like the Pilot a lot, and that combination with the Sui-gyoku ink is just *chef's kiss*. I hope you'll have a lot of fun writing with them 😊
Love that Kobe ink; great pairing with Yoseka’s Home! The verdigris Pilot 743 is on my list, but I wish it was a little lighter, like the resin between the cap bands. My birthday was in August, and my birthday pen was a broad Sailor PG in Soda Pop Blue. It was a nice little treat to break my summer no buy. 😊
Oh yes, I was not totally bought in with the medium teal of the Verdigris, but I love it more than any other color they had available. And seeing that bright green teal was such a lovely surprise, I agree, if the pen was in that color, I would love it even more! But this is a bit of a muted teal, which I believe, Pilot chose as it would make this pen slightly more professional and safe for work. We'll just never win with Pilot Customs being whimsical and fun, can we? XD And what a fun summer Sailor for your birthday!! :D Sailors can always ruin my no-buy for me and I wouldn't be upset. Haha

Beautiful pens. The home pen I looked at, but it was out of my budget. I am so glad you were able to get these. The Kobe ink is so pretty. I put it on my wish list lol.
Thank you, Priscilla! :D The Home pen really is an out of budget pen. It's crazy how many people stood behind buying it during the pre-sale! I could never just feel comfortable dishing out 540 for one pen...unless it is a "one pen in this brand ever" kind of pen. So I was happy to have gotten gift cards to Yoseka to help! And YAY! This Kobe ink is fascinating! I hope you get to try it one day soon!
Happy Birthday! Beautiful choices! Mine is coming up soon and I never knew I got a discount at Atlas nor that I was building up points even! Good to know!
Woohoo! Happy birthday to you soon! And yeah, you accumulate points towards discounts by purchasing pens, leaving reviews, etc. Atlas is so great!! Thank you for the birthday wish, Constance! 🥰
My home pen just arrived on Friday with my sailor realo. It was so hard to justify the price but there aren’t a lot of sailors that I like because I like more neutral colors. I had the autumn moon pro gear slim but it was too small. I kept getting hand cramps when I journaled with it. So I went for the pro gear. I figured since I’m keeping my pen collection small I can get the pen I really want and not have to compromise.
Yes!! I hated how the pgs cause cramps for me and that I’ll inevitably need to spend more on Pro Gears because I know I’ll want to have more Sailors and color combinations in my collection. And since there aren’t many neutral tones for Sailors, you won’t be too tempted for the new pro gears :) I also forgot to mention in the video because I was too excited, but the finials have part of yoseka’s store name on it, which is such a beautiful detail and a detail I want for my pro gears ^_^ so this was worth every penny! Enjoy your Home and Realo, Ayana! Thanks for watching 🥰
@@KenchanKrafts Exactly. No one really talks about hands crabs with the slims. And I definitely agree there aren’t enough neutral pens and if the are released it is very small batches like the pilot Capless latte. Ugh I’m so mad I couldn’t get one of those. It’s what I was looking for. But enjoy your new pens and your birthday 🎂
I love these!! I want the home and the refresh from Yoseka. I just got a Falcon SEF for my birthday. OMG. I love it. I watched Mike from Independence walk through the Baltimore fountain pen show, and he showed something new called Cursive Logic. She said instead of 26 lessons, it only takes 4 to learn and improve your handwriting. I am buying some of her books for me and my 14 year old. Congrats on new pen day!
Oooo I’ll have to look into that!! Thank you so much! Will just need to make the time and effort for it but 4 lessons sounds promising XD time to have a new way to write soon! And thank you for watching 😍
Thank you for the heads up on the birthday discount at atlas! That is amazing! That Kobe ink is stunning. I haven’t yet been able to sink the money into the Home but the champagne gold is the one I would like too. I will survive without the home pen but can’t deny how stunning it is!
You’re welcome, Dana! I simply love this Kobe ink, it’s changed my life on yellow inks haha. Sometimes we’ll just have to live vicariously through others xD but yeah Home is absolutely a real stunner! Thanks for watching 😋
I love those inks, and my favorite pen is the Pilot. For my birthday (also in December), I got a stub nib Pilot Prera, and I got Pilot Iroshizuku Murasaki ink for Chanukah. My stub nib demo video is my most-viewed pen video to date (albeit without any comments).
Oooo, lemme go check that pen video out! I think the Pilot prera pens are cute! Murasaki Shikibu is a gorgeous ink if your nib/pen can create the pink shades in it! :) Happy belated birthday to us December babies xD
Hey Lao, the 823 stamp is the date of manufacture. Your nib was manufactured August of 2023. Beautiful pens. Does the pilot also have sparkles in the body? It looked very subtle on my screen. I love both pens! Edit: I just read the rest of the comments, sorry for the redundancy.
Nah you’re fine! I appreciate to know you also knew that and for letting me know ^_^ anything I don’t know I welcome others to tell me. I don’t think this Verdigris has any sparkle, but that bright green teal makes the pen seem like it sparkles because it does contrast the darker teal haha! And the gold finishes were probably reflecting the light a bit. If it did have sparkles that would be so nice, like just the tiniest subtlest sparkles would be cool. Edit: OK, I rewatched it, and all those sparkly white bits were just...sadly, dust that the pen body picks up easily ahah!! Since I had the pen up so close, you can see the minute dust particles on it, but there were just enough on there to look like shimmers.
happy belated birthday! my dad's birthday was on december 28. he always hated that his parents only gave him christmas presents because it was too close to christmas. did you ever have that problem? i hope your year is a blessed one.
Thank you so much, Gristle! I am so sorry your dad had to go through that, too, it is not fair especially if the rest of the children in the family are getting presents on their birthdays AND Christmas. I wonder why parents don't ever think, "oh hey, since you're only getting presents for Christmas, we should not give presents for ANYONE else on Christmas cuz they already got theirs on their birthdays." Would have saved them a lot more money - but cause more chaos with the other kids - leading to being fair and giving your dad what he should get xD In my whole life...actually, I don't remember getting presents from my parents. We just get money, so it was money and then Christmas presents, so it wasn't terrible. Look at me going so ham on this tangent :D Thank you for watching and I hope you also will have a blessed year!
I'm anxious to hear if you have problems with railroading with the FA. I'm actually working on a series of shorts about flex pens and the FA nib is on the docket.
I have heard from others about railroading. I didn’t seem to see it in my writing samples in the video because I don’t typically flex so hard since I’m not used to it yet. And I didn’t do my figure 8s so quickly, but I’m sure I’ll need to upgrade the feed someday to an FNF feed (as my friend Marz informed me) once I get used to knowing how much I can push on the nib in the future! Can’t wait to see your shorts 😍
Hi Camsy! That’s so awesome the parallels for us on these two! I absolutely love Taisanji yellow and it was the ink I knew I wanted to pair with this own so I had bought it ahead of time to match with the Home pen. It’s such a beautiful color and some of the shading it can do is lovely! Let’s enjoy our Falcons and Kobe ink! 😆😊 Thank you for watching 🥰
@@KenchanKrafts I got my 743 FA delivered to my friend in Singapore and I’m picking it up on Thursday. Your video made me sooo excited! We have the same taste. Mine is just the boring version of yours (less color, less bougie) 😂 Hahahaha! The Taisanji Yellow shades beautifully. Love how it’s a mustard yellow then goes dark into an almost burnt color when you lay it on thick. 🥰 you’re making me want the home pen just for it! It’s a beautiful match!
with my first youtube paycheck I am definitely looking into getting one of the verdegre pilot 743 either that or a 912 with a soft fine nib I have the falcon but I dont like it the feed doesnt keep up well so I dunno then again I like to flex ya know what I'm sayin ;P
I have heard about the feed not keeping up. I’m sure I’ll reach that issue pretty soon XD once I start using and using the FA nib to its potential limits. At that point I’ll definitely need to replace the feed, which I’m ok with having someone do it for me I just hope they get it done right! Because even with a professional, something randomly wrong could definitely go wrong knowing my luck. But fingers crossed! Are you getting the soft fine nib to flex? I wonder if pilots soft nibs are meant to flex
@@KenchanKrafts I'm not afraid of my pens as most people I'm pretty agressive when it comes to pulling feeds taking my pens apart and putting them back together again I'm part surgeon part engeneer sprinkled in with a whole lot of other hat wearing ... I would look up a tutorial on it its pretty easy to do long as you have a goulet grip and little will action and experiance If you've never pulled a pilot nib I would start off with something simple like a metro or a 78g or a prera I mean I dont think they are much different on any of the other models I could be wrong though but from what I've seen people just grip the nib feed and to a little twist and pull and it should come right out... their relitively unexpensive however the shipping is what kills might be worth doing if you think it would be worth it .. I am a flexer I have seen other people on instagram use their soft fine to do calligraphy I tried to use my falcon to do calligraphy and I want something stiffer than the falcon as I find the falcon to be too soft for my liking I have 2 full flex nibs and I much prefer the stiffness of the noodlers nibs than the full flex wet noodly nibs gives me ability to write normally without having to worry about making swells where I dont want them the FPR ultra flex nibs are my favorite gives me just the right flexibility if you havnt tried one and you like to flex the himalaya v2 is perfect for doing beautiful calligraphy :)
Happy Birthday 🎉 If it was a black Pilot ink you could count me in, the blue would make me buy another pen (but you would have to do a nib comparison so a lot of work for you..!! 😂)....the teal pen is very interesting and I hope you enjoy it ❤ Have a fabulous day 😀

@KenchanKrafts I'm not sure what pen to get next.....Pilot would be an obvious choice but I'm not known for being obvious 😂 I have however just ordered a bottle of Aurora Black ink....seems to be black but easy to look after 👍👍
@@moonlight5050 Yes, Aurora black is a true black that's wet and well behaving. xD I have to get myself a bottle...if I ever use black ink! HAHA! hae a bunch of Sailors I bought in the late 00s and early 10s, when they were much less expensive. I'm not sure I would buy a new Sailor these days, they have gone uo in price significantly.
Oh man how I would love to pay the sailor prices of the 2000s n 2010s xD Sailor definitely increased faster than the other two Japanese brands, but the others seem to be catching up now too.
Happy belated bday! I’m so happy that you were able to add those pens to your collection. I must be doing something wrong with my sailor. I have a21k MF and I just think it’s so stiff. I’m such a newbie when it comes to fountain pens so it might just be me. I thought about trying different inks in it to see if the combo I was using was the problem, but I haven’t gotten around to it.
Hi Yureli! Thank you so much for watching and the birthday wish! So in general, Sailor nibs are still stiff, even the 21k. So if yours is stiff, that’s pretty normal. The tiniest bit of bounciness I experience doesn’t make the nib flex by any means, so you won’t get much flex with sailors. I believe sailor nibs can flex at the King of Pen level because that nib is much larger. I wouldn’t flex my PG nibs at all because I like them to stay precise haha. What other issues do you seem to have if you are thinking of trying other inks in your sailor?
@@KenchanKrafts thank you for your response. Idk other than the stiffness, it seems pretty dry. I’ve only inked it up with a de atramentis document ink, so I was going to try a juicier ink to see if it flowed better.
@@yureliplans I always pair my sailors with the wettest sailor inks I have. Or pilot inks. There are some dry sailor inks and they don’t feel great, even with a generous medium nib. If you’re using MF nibs, I definitely suggest using wet sailor inks, like the Shikiori line. Chances are your tines may also be too tight. I had my spring rain sailor looked at by CY at the SF show because it would be scratchy and not make smooth lines in some directions. He opened up the tines a bit and smoothed the grind just a bit and it writes beautifully again. My pen initially wrote well, but I put a shimmer ink in there, NEVER AGAIN! XD I was a newbie and that was a newbie mistake.
Omg, I just got the 743 falcon (in black but now I wish I had gotten it in verdigris) and I really wanted the Home pen, but I got the Bungubox sanctuary pen instead….
Well, you didn't go wrong with any of your choices, though if you like Teal, yeah, this Verdigris is a must have! But black pens have their place in most collections, so you should be fine ^_^ And the Bungubox Sanctuary Blue...ugh!! Magnificent!!! :) I have that one, too, and it's one of my favorites!!! I cannot be happier with it ^_^ It's definitely up there with my Home Sailor as they both have very beautiful meaning behind them. Plus, the raden Sanctuary Blue Sailor is cheaper anyways haha :D

what a beautiful pair of pens!! thank you for sharing and happy belated birthday! ✨
Thanks, Bucky! Thank you for watching ^_^
🎂Happy Birthday!🎂 Lovely pens.
Thank you so much, Pink Skies 🌸
I have been so excited for your birthday pens! Happy, happy birthday!!!
Thank you Wendy!! Me too I’ve been prolonging this video hehe now I can finally play with my birthday pens!
Gorgeous new additions to the collection - both are stunners! 😍😍😍 And happy very, very late birthday. 🎂
Hehe thank you, Christy! Stunning they are, indeed!!
oh boy, lucky you !!!
Hehe lucky me ^_^ thanks for stopping by!
Happy Birthday Pens, they are both gorgeous!
Thanks so much, Jamie 🥰
Happy Birthday - love your pen choices!
Thank you, Darla! 🥰
Belated happy birthday Lao! sexy falcon nib u got there 🤩
Oh yes, it is so sexy! I love how thin it writes and the lovely medium-ish down strokes - so much sexy flare to my writing hehe!!
@@KenchanKrafts I've put it on my wish list 🙂 Dust, sparkles, its all good! LOL
Happy birthday my favourite PENTUBER❤❤❤❤
Aww haha thank you so much buddy!! 🥰😘😍 thanks for the birthday wish and always supporting me!
happy belated birthday! my dad's birthday was on december 28. he always hated that his parents only gave him christmas presents because it was too close to christmas. did you ever have that problem? i hope your year is a blessed one.
Look at me going so ham on this tangent :D Thank you for watching and I hope you also will have a blessed year!
thank you!@@KenchanKrafts
Great pens. Love the Taisanji.
Thanks! Yes Taisanji is perfection!
Happy birthday! Just got the same pilot custom 743 in a falcon nib (but black) and also just got Taisanji Yellow. So this video is fun for me. 😊
😂)....the teal pen is very interesting and I hope you enjoy it ❤ Have a fabulous day 😀
Thanks, Moon Light 🌙 haha a Pilot black ink would be precious to have in any collection. I wonder why they didn’t just make it a black ink, nobody wants blue!! lol also which pen were you thinking of getting…😜 you know I love making pen nib comparisons lol 😆 but thank you so so much for watching 🥰
HAHA! But I have a small 15ml of Take-Sumi from Iroshizuku for my black ink needs. I have given my Lamy Black 50ml to someone I penabled. Pilot is definitely an obvious choice :P Smoothest Japanese nib writing experience!
@@KenchanKrafts the Aurora Black just arrived....it is definitely black 😂 Will decide what pen to put it in when the Lamy Dark Lilac & Diamine Holly arrive 😀 Have a fab weekend 👍👍
hae a bunch of Sailors I bought in the late 00s and early 10s, when they were much less expensive.
@@KenchanKrafts thank you for the info!
@@KenchanKrafts I got my Sanctuary Blue with the Kodachi grind by Mr. Nagahara, couldn’t pass that up.
Happy Late Birthday!
Thanks, bud!
Pen Boutique send me a birthday discount, but I didn't get anything from Atlas Stationers and I've ordered a lot of merchandise from them. Oh well, Pen Boutique got a sale, and Atlas didn't. Happy Birthday 🎉
Same here. I think maybe just the affiliates get that because I even went to my atlas profile and there isn’t anywhere (that I could find) to put in a birthday.
Hmm, that's interesting. I will need to go and confirm with Brendan from Atlas so I can update my description box regarding the Atlas Birthday code! Thanks for bringing that to my attention, Teresa! I have heard others who aren't affiliates that used their birthday code and they were the ones who informed me of a birthday code. So, let me get back to you guys on this! Which pen did you get for your birthday from Pen Boutique? :)
@@kitgenz1114 @teresaharris-travelbybooks5564 I've added the info in my description box on how to access the birthday code and entering your birthday! Let me know if you guys can find it. Also, I want to apologize here, too, for the birthday discount is just 15%, but there is a 20% discount to redeem after earning points from purchases! Let me know if you guys have any further questions I can get from Atlas for you guys. Again, thank you for pointing this out!
@@KenchanKrafts That was so easy to update. 😂 Thanks, Lao!
