This song is the first I ever heard of Josh Groban so many years ago. (he guest starred in Ally McBeal and sang that song after his characters mom died). It made me cry back in the day and still does now so many years later. So many emotions and to think how young he was when he first performed this - how can he have such a powerful voice and transport so much emotion already. I was blown away. Still am.

I broke down halfway through the song and had to turn it off. I went back a few days later and listened to it all the way through and loved it. Now it's one of my go to songs when I'm reminiscing. Oh, how I love Josh Groban! I've been a fan of his since I first saw him on Ally McBeal (a funky little tv show from the early 2000s). He was a teenager with a crush on the adult main character and wound up singing ... at the prom? I don't remember the exact circumstances now, but I fell in love with his voice. I've seen him live several times, standing outside the stage door once (with a throng of screaming women, ok, I was also screaming, because I'm a dork), waiting for him to sign my ticket. Lol. No embarrassment here - his voice just makes me gooey. His fans are called Grobanites and through the pandemic he did several songs from his shower (fully clothed), which was fun to see him in such a relaxed environment. More, please! You should hear him do, "Somewhere Over The Rainbow." Also ... there's a beautiful song called, "You're Still You," that my mom had played at hers and my dad's 50th wedding anniversary. It was bittersweet since he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's, but wasn't too far along into it at that point. It's stunning.

When my mom passed away on June 12th, 2011 (exactly 2 weeks before my 40th birthday), this became my song I would sing to keep my faith and the promise she made me that we would see each other again in Heaven before she died. Here in the US, the cable channel FX used to run the show "Ally McBeal" during the afternoon & on my 41st birthday (June 26th, 2012), the episode "911" aired, a Christmas-themed episode that featured him as Malcolm Wyatt, whose mother had been murdered & his father was a minister who lost his faith, only to regain it on Christmas Eve & Josh sang this song on the episode. From the opening notes of this song, I have always cried because here it is (November 13th, 2022) & it still hits my heart & soul and how much I still miss my mom. My favorite of his, if I had to pick one is his duet with Charlotte Church (The Prayer). I know he stood in for Andrea Bocelli and sang The Prayer with Celine Dion during rehearsals but Josh's version with Charlotte Church is way better than Celine and Andrea imo.

He sang The Prayer with Charlotte Church, such top shelf talent at young ages. That song was great exposure to the World. Type A personality high strung very sensitive ect it closely matches type INFJ on that personality test there's 16 personality types according to there test look that up and take that test just for fun if nothing else.
