for some of us home gardeners...how about a junk journal of favorite vegetables ...either showing different veggies or dedicated to a favorite veg, like all varieties of tomatoes or beans or melons between the blank pages or to a decor cover?
How about a Christmas junk journal with pics of new or vintage toys between the blank pages ...something a grade schooler would enjoy as an inspirational drawing & coloring book, that grandma and grandchild made together. There are so many magazines and templates out there.
Many of us quilters receive alot of quilting supply catalogs with photos showing all kinds of fabric color ways, swatches, thread color charts, quilt patterns, tools and finished quilts that can be used in collage to decor or make themed junk journals.
This is a whole new world for me!!

Morning Pam! I got exactly 70 feet of packing paper in two Amazon boxes - yes, I measured it. Then I tore those long dragon tails of paper into panels at the perforations to make the yummy stuff easier to store. (Listened to one of your podcasts while I tore). And now here you are, with awesome ideas to help me use this amazing stash. Thanks for always being Pam-on-the-Spot! Cheers to you, Papa, Sunny and the Flock from Denver CO!
Pam, I get tons of the brown paper in Wal mart boxes. I straighten, leaving the wrinkles, then fold sort of like the bolts of material at the fabric store. then I cut off the amount I need. It is so easy to store. love your ideas!

A few years ago for Christmas my husband bought me a new Singer sewing machine. I've only made a few things on it like a baby quilt and just a few face masks when the epidemic broke out. So to me it's still a new machine. What is your suggestion on attempting to sew through paper. I've been afraid to do that with my machine. I know how to write in some Caligraphy styles. I can teach the ones I know. Love your nails by the way. I use to do my own every week, just a few yrs ago until depression hit me hard, then I was interested in nothing. You have brought me back to crafting again. Not just crafting, but paper crafting as well. I love to macrame, needlepoint, cross stitch, knit, crochet, beading, drawing, photography, and now paper crafting as well. Thank you!! 😊 Ohhh...love the woodgrain look
Paper is almost easier to see than fabric! Easy and ... it's just paper! :-)
I spritz with H2O and iron my brown wads of Walmart/amazon packing paper and use my old, dull bladed quilting rotary cutters and shape rulers to cut the packing paper as needed. Last night just found you and have enjoyed watching Paper Outpost ....great ideas and teaching !!! thanks NM

Yep, I have lots of that brown paper too. love the caramel color and the crinkliness of it. But why did I never think to use a white pen on it?! It's just so cute and stands out amazingly well against the brown paper.
Wow, I hadn't realized just how tiny Sunny is. I have two pups. One looks like Sunny, but he's a bichon and weighs about 15 pounds. The other, my little girl, weighs around 12 pounds. She's a rescue so we're not sure, but I think she may be a morkie (Maltese and Yorkshire terrier). I can't imagine having a pup that's less than half her size!
LOVED these ideas & always love your videos. Just getting started in paper crafting, very inspired. I’m going to make the little corner pockets (or regular pockets) with this paper, into picket fences! With fussy cut flowers tucked behind. Thanks for all you do!

I will probably will never make a junk journal, but I do learn from your tips that I use for card making and also product information But I really tune in to your videos, cause they crack me up!! Making your papers etc. talk to you and having little sunny chat with us is wonderfully funny! My husband always know when I have tuned in to your site as he can hear the falsetto voice!! Which drives him crazy...(that is fun too, by the way...lol!). You should be a stand up comedian or rather a sit-down??? Well I guess you are!!! Thanks for the chuckles!

I’ve accumulated a big stash of this type of paper during lockdown from all the stuff hubs ordered to fix things around the house and I’ve been having a ball creating with it. I’ve made faux leather junk journals by covering them with mod podge, I’ve ripped them up to make collage pieces, I’ve used them as gift wrap, on New Years we wrote our wishes for 2022 on them and offered our hopes up to a bon fire, I’ve rolled up long pieces to use as fake straw to make a Christmas goat (it’s a Finnish thing), and the list goes on….

Last week I was traveled from Georgia to S Carolina to help with my son in law (after foot surgery) and babysit my youngest grand-baby. I watched your video on making snippet rolls from this paper and have been itching to get hold of my pkg paper that I didn’t bring with me. (I brought 4 boxes of OTHER stuff but not that !!! LOL) Now I am home and can’t wait to get into it. I have about 20 feet of the packaging and a roll of paper of same weight and texture. Thank you Pam !!

They do seem to be cutting back on the paper they include in the last 6 months. I have a stash, too, and just yesterday, a package arrived (arm crutches for partner) and it had PAPER! I was so happy I squealed.

Whenever I'm stuck for ideas, I can count of you for inspiration. I've got so much brown paper, and my mind is now awhirl. If you ever get a chance, head to Mammoth Caves in Kentucky. You won't be disappointed. They were amazing.

You inspired me to get a sewing machine and I am loving it. It adds that soecial touch❣Ihave a huge stack of packing paper and a roll of paper used for newspaper! This will be a great project to make and use for gift cards!

So I've come to the Conclusion that if you give Pam a trashcan full of paper, Her Scotch Glue Stick, Her Fabertex (or what ever that glues called... The one that glues "Paper To Paper, Fabric to Fabric, Fabric to Paper, Paper to Fabric".... A Ruler (for tearing straight...'ish); She'd literally create some of the MOST STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL PROJECTS!!!
