Nice video dude! I’ve got the Paul Stanley Mikro, I love it for songwriting, making tabs, etc. I’ve never really had much of an issue with it going out of tune easier than a full size.

I want to try one of those Paul Stanley ones. They look awesome!

Title should be how to string the guitar. I was hoping you could get into a real setup. I did mine to spec and the action was wayyy to high, although everyone says it's the same it's not. I had to put tension on truss rode to straight neck then raise the action a tad so action would play lower with no buzz.

I just got an orange mikro for $50. How did the lower tuning with heavier strings go for you? Which guage and tuning worked for you? I was going to try 11’s or maybe 12’s and go down to C# standard or so 🤔😅

It handles it well. You may need to widen the nut slots if you go to 12s, but for C# standard, 11s should be perfect!

@@Electric.Flamingo hm ok thanks I’ll try 11’s first. Did you ever swap out any of the hardware or pickups? I’m going to give mine a fill setup, and if Iike it maybe put in some cheapish black locking tuners and maybe a black bridge. Also perhaps put in a high output pickup set to turn it into a mini metal machine 😅

@everything-bagel never changed anything on it. Everything was great as it was. It set up fine, held tune and the pickups were already pretty high output for me so I just let it be!

Got one coming tomorrow and will use your video to set it up correctly. Been playing over 55 years and first Mini guitar I will play. My smallish hands and fingers are getting stiff with age and I am hoping this little guitar will be good just for playing here at home. Thanks!

I just picked one up yesterday for travel.
Ibanez should have a limited warranty on new guitars. If the frets need work, just have it fixed under warranty work.

That's true, if you buy them new. I have only ever bought them used. Like I said, I mention it as a point in they buy one used and are surprised.

"clean your guitar" would be a better name for the video
