It took all the suffering... to make this moment so worth it... getting Harbaugh... and knowing that Herbert has quality coaching makes it the greatest thing ever to happen to Bolt Nation... let's go Chargers... EVEN SPANOS LOOKS LIKE 👍 1 MILLION BUCKS. ONE GREAT COACH MAKES EVERYTHING BETTER... I know honestly nobody will ever talk about the actual meeting between Spanos and Harbaugh, and all the demands it took to make it happen, im just glad you did... because it really was not only a no brainer... but it was the most lucrative pairing, and it was without a doubt the biggest hire in this off season... so kudos for getting it done.

I’ve been a chargers fan since I was 6. From Chicago, bears fans arnt very nice too anyone who isn’t a bears fan. Got picked on a lot but have had a love for this team since I was 6 and it has been the only team I have across all sports. I’ve cried over bad season. Been depressed over bad losses and I just want to say people. This is the first time I have cried for being so excited and happy about where this franchise is heading. To all bolt fam I have felt your pain for many years and I am just so happy to say WERE BACK BABY! Jim was looking to go back to the NFL 3 years ago when he interviewed for the Minnesota Vikings job. Told the AD this will not be an annual thing, told that same AD he was done pursuing the NFL last year when he interviewed for the Denver Broncos…I don’t blame him for pursuing the ultimate prize, A Super Bowl, he’s just not a man of his word. I’d have more respect for him when he returned to Michigan if he’d just say, yes I’m pursuing going back to the NFL.
I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he starts turning things around for the Chargers just short of a Super Bowl he bolts for another NFL job. It’s just the way he is, he doesn’t stay long at any job,and if the Chargers don’t move with the right kinda speed in the right direction,he’s running out of time age wise, he’ll jettison off asap if a team close to winning it all comes calling..just like he did in AA, his home….it’s Jim’s world, you’re just in it.

My dad, Coach Dick Coury was an NFL Coach for 31 years and was a great friend of Jim and his family years. My dad lived in San Diego when Jim was at UCSD. Him and Jim were “Great Friends”. My dad passed away in 2020. He loved Jim. He is definitely watching from from above. I am from San Diego, Del Mar. I love the Chargers. Congratulations Jim.

The start of something big
Our 12 Takeaways from an epic introductory press conference:
1. Dean Spanos introduced Harbaugh yday whereas John Spanos introduced Staley in 2021. This is Dean’s hire and he wanted it to be known. Explicitly referenced providing Harbaugh with "whatever support and tools he needs to be successful" 💰
2. John Spanos acknowledging the 14 other HC candidates was smart. Hopefully r’ships have been forged with them and you never know when those will pay dividends in the future (coordinators, position coaches, etc).
3. Harbaugh’s self-confidence to say to the Owner in a public setting, ‘‘Dean, you’re one of the first in the building, I’ve been watching’ was awesome. No first-time HC would tell their Owner that they're being watched. Expect accountability from top to bottom with Jim's regime.
4. Harbaugh isn’t afraid to set the bar very high in LA. His goal is ‘multiple championships’ and that’s what it might take to win this city over. Were that to happen, the days of LA fans being outnumbered at SoFi will surely be over.
5. Harbaugh has made multiple references to Keenan Allen since being hired, including during yday's presser. Keenan isn’t going anywhere next season.
6. Harbaugh keeping a signed jersey of Junior Seau from his last football game in SD (and referencing it in the presser) was a nice touch. Hopefully, Harbaugh is the person who can bring together SD & LA fans, merging their past, present and future.
7. Harbaugh is experienced but not complacent: ‘I got to bring it. I got to bring my ‘A game’. Let’s see if I’m a good enough coach.’
That’s very refreshing to hear from an older and highly successful coach.
8. Although it’s presumed Jesse Minter will be the DC, it’s clearly not yet confirmed (per Harbaugh): ‘We’re going through a process [with Minter] right now.’ We are still expecting that the deal gets done in the coming days (any delay may be explained by Rooney Rule requirements).
9. 'Don’t let the powder blues fool ya’, this will be a physical football team. Expect harder practices than under previous regimes and a commitment to trench warfare. ‘We’re gonna win the Lombardi or die trying’ (per Harbaugh).
10. Harbaugh sees Special Teams as the ‘tone setters’. They start and set the tone for the game. Since Harbaugh was hired Coach Ficken has not interviewed for external roles and must be a decent chance to remain as ST coordinator (despite rumours about Jim's son taking over).
11. Harbaugh's focus on Offense is to ‘protect Herbert’s environment’. Fans should prepare themselves for more rush attempts, field goals and punting next season. Might not be welcome for some who've embraced analytics, but Harbaugh’s overall track record as HC speaks for itself.
12. ‘Faith, Family and Football’. A hackneyed cliche in football, but if it truly applies to any coach in the USA, it’s Jim Harbaugh, the new Chargers HC. Bring on Wk 1 already #BoltFam⚡😍
Fan since I was 12. I have never been this excited. This guy is talking about getting work done ASAP. He is coming to win and you can tell his commitment is all 🔥. He has incredible depth and I couldn’t be happier! The last years have been downers but I know for a fact, he will get the job done. His HUNGER shows and we all know he KNOWS football. Although we are sad to see him go, we are also happy for for him to chase his dreams. Grateful for the time we had him and the incredible things he did for Michigan football. Such a class act. I'm bummed he has left Michigan, but I get it. The Chargers got the real deal. He's as authentic as they come, and he lives and breathes football. He'll make the right moves, find the right pieces, and will ultimately rule the roost in the AFC West and NFL. His offense is all about physical football. Multiple TE sets. Shifts and motions. It won't take him long, could even be this coming season. He'll definitely make the playoffs in '24. Outside of his football chops, he's a colorful character. A lot of fun in press conferences and otherwise. Guess I'm a Chargers fan now!
