I love this vocal technique and I'm trying to perfect it to use it in my singing. I love Dolores's singing, so unique and emotional. Alanis does this with great effect too, so does Sarah McLachlan, and Brandi Carlile. Thanks so much for your video, I saved it to my playlist already.
I came here as I had always wanted to know how to do it, but today I was listening to some 90s country and remembered how much I loved Leann Rimes' yodel in Blue.

Would you say that’s also a country technique and not just pop? Love this video- super helpful! Also I am a huge fan of both the artists you mentioned- I try to pull from both as a singer.
I can't believe I actually called it out I was like watch me put yodeling in the last morza and I'm not going to get anything but I was like I'll give it a try sure enough boy I was right I was like why does she f****** have to yodel it's just the most horrible thing I've ever heard
Oh no this has to be the most annoying vocal technique I have ever heard I just can't stand it and all the female vocalist have to do it then wanted to hear f****** yodeling I listen to music from Germany
