    Nice! And it's just the beginning there are ways and ways to make glitches on the rytm this drum synth is a monster of power

      It is extremely powerful, and I keep exploring more options. Can you share some of your tricks?

      HalutioN hard for me to explain in english, but most obvious is working with sample chains for example instead of one shot samples . It takes the trick about the start/end pooints and retrig/loop to another level.something quite huge and crazy 'cause you can alternate different samples that glitches on different ways on different trigs for only one voice. This multiplied by the number of scenes and performances modes stuff makes this analog rytm an endless world of possibilities. I'm new to the elektron world, just received my rytm few days ago and thanks for your videos that were part of my decision to buy this great drum machine....

      Oh yeah i almost forgot what is the best glitch effect in the rytm for me: while live recording you can record the sample selection changes , so the plus drive becomes a sort of huuuuge sample chain, you see what i mean? Sorry for my bad english. I discovered this feature in the elektron's video: workflow elektron rytm (starts around 7mn in the elektron video)

      Yeah, that's a neat trick, thanks :) you can also use a random lfo and assign it sample selection, but then I believe you have to be careful what you have in your pool to make it sound consistent.

    Thanks man didn´t know that the decay has something to do with the loop function

      I was surprised to find that out myself, but it definitely works :)

    thanks! really useful tricks! A Question though: is there a possibility to modulate the retrig speed via LFO or in the performance mode for example?

    • @LateNightBeatsOfficial
      @LateNightBeatsOfficial  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't believe it is unfortunately. If you wan't to introduce some randomness you would need to introduce two tracks with the same sound and use a -neighbor trig condition in conjucntion with percentage. I'll make a video on that one of these days. Thanks for watching!

    Interesting. So tip 3 is the: closest equivalent to the ESX-1 "roll" button? ( it turns one note into several short ones? )

    • @LateNightBeatsOfficial
      @LateNightBeatsOfficial  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I believe that's what it does. It's similar to Trig Count on the Octatrack, but you can extend the length to go beyond just a single 16th note.

      Q 2: If you play a beat with the Retrig ( roll ) on, does it record the rolls?
      for example "sprinkler hats", or snare rolls?

    • @LateNightBeatsOfficial
      @LateNightBeatsOfficial  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it does: you can either p-lock your retrigs or record them live. Of course, due to certain limitations of the trig architecture what's recorded might be slightly different than what you played, but I guess any Elektron user is accustomed to it by now :)

    Hey love your videos sir! I have a question though which is a bit off topic; what kind of condenser mic do u use?
    Sounds quite natural to my ears.. Do u use it with different kind of signal sources other than yer voice? Thanks and please do more videos on the A4! :)

    • @LateNightBeatsOfficial
      @LateNightBeatsOfficial  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! Thanks for watching. I should definitely make more videos on the A4 as it is actually my favorite ELEKTRON product :) My mic is a RODE NT1 and I use it mostly for voice (both speaking and singing) and for acoustic guitar. Works rather well and, as advertised, it is extremely hiss-free.

    This is great for me. I am a guitar player, find the Analog Keys can adapt to my style, but drum machines are a whole new world for me, since I am more of a rock guy. Would like to spend time on the Rytm and gain some level of confidence, for more traditional use. Probably need to learn more basics about performance traditional fills off a standard repeating beat, like a tom run then cymbal crash. Can I trigger a sequence like that easily off of a single pad, if that makes any sense?

    • @LateNightBeatsOfficial
      @LateNightBeatsOfficial  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching! For traditional rock fills you can use the "fill" trig condition and just press the fill button (scale) to trigger your entire fill. Check out my video on trig conditions. They rock!

    hi man, i really like your videos! i would love to see how you operate/prepare a liveset on the rytm, maybe in combination with the ios apps STROM or Collider. This would be very interessting! greetz from berlin

      Hey! Thanks for watching. Set management is most certainly a tutorial, that I want to make in the future. However, I still have a lot to learn about the RYTM before I attempt it, so please bear with me :)
