Amazing video! I fight Antweights in the UK and know the pain of Chucky, having faced its 150g sibling Expanda-bot many times. You also hit on something i also strive for in my robots which is the balance of art vs functionality, something that was probably also instilled in me by watching Robotwars as a child. (And also that my robots will spend more time on my desk than they ever will an arena, so they may as well look cool doing it!)
The part where you make the weapon grate made me smile- still got the damaged one you gifted me after TupperScare's wheel got jammed in there at MITE in April 🤣 awesome video Tom!
Such a great video Tom! ^-^ I remember fighting you at M.I.T.E when you were trialing this design and you chucked Siren everywhere, defenitly one of my favourite fights, if you decide to go further with this i look forward to seeing what plans you have for the future of bad daddy. Your designs never fail to dissapoint regardless of if they are silly or serious. Keep up the great videos and robots ^-^
I have tried the heated inserts for 3d prints, but I find they fail easier that without them when done properly. Now I simple under size the hole a tiny bit, then increase the number of walls on the print. Once printed I simply tap threads into the hole. Everytime I have used this method it has been steonger than the heated insert. Alternatively if you can put the heat insert on the other side it will hold but easier than that you can get squarw nuts and put a small square pocket to slide the nut into. But the easiest is to design is the tapped hole version and as long as you have 6 walls its normally steonger than the heat insert from my testing. Awesome robot. You really took it the distance in the competition. Amazing work and congratulations I would say it paid offbeven if you lost the final match.
@TomcoDesigns I can't wait to see what you do next with bad dad it truly is one of my favourite beetleweights I hope one day I'm able to have a battle against it with my own bettleweight spinner 🙂
Not gonna lie, I have no idea how I found this random small channel that I am apparently subscribed to, to see this upload. I assume it wasn't 5 years ago that I saw a video, and there was something deleted? lol
Where abouts do they fight in the uk I would love to get into it I race rc professionally I used to watch robot wars from when it come on telly me my brother and dad was gonna enter after the first series but we shortly found out the funds to get a robot built wasn't there but now I love watching battelbots and I'm still racing rc cars but these smaller bots look like it could fun and a good way to jump into it
What a brilliant video. Loved it. 1:1 😉
Thank you, Mr Chucky
This is the greatest build video of all time.
Thank you!

This entire video was the definition of art.
I’m looking forward to seeing more of Bad Daddy in the future.

I don’t build robots, but this video was sick. Robots or not, I’ll “fucking try”
Love the Bobby inspired video. So cool to see the build process presented this way.
Keep it up Tom. Lovely work.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
I enjoyed the production as much as your beautifully destructive bot. Well Done!

Glad to see you building, robot looks awesome!
Thank you Mark!
when you're making a build video right after watching the movie Whiplash
Great video! The style is very similar to a guy called Bobby Fingers
Thank you!! Bobby Fingers inspired me to make videos again. I love that guy

Hello! Yes I took a short... 5 year break 😅 better late than never I guess
I love this video. Were you inspired by 3D Sagano's production style, by any chance?
They were not, but i just took a look at their channel, they are shot very beautifully. I will take that as the highest compliment 😄
How did you get the tensioning right for the weapon pulley? Flat belts always seemed weird to work with.
Turned down the pulley until it worked right with a new belt
This is excellent ASMR
Thank you ❤️
more pls.

Is it important to glue vinyl in the presence of a baby?
Think you need a side hustle in asmr
This is my side hustle in ASMR
Can I get Dave Moulds on my team?
