    Please don’t bring California baggage (filth) here in Texas. Now the cost of living is going up now that these people are coming in crowds. I hate it!

    I live in Ventura, California. The house I'm in went from $800,000 to $1.3 million in the last 3 years. The price increase have made it unaffordable for most people to buy a house. The weather is great. It's usually between 60F-85F all year.

    We’ve had it with NY and CA, from crazy prices for everything, all the garbage they’re teaching kids in school, drug addicted homeless degenerates to just bad politics. We’ll be moving there this year and we love the fact that Texas is♦️for the most part and family values are very strong in Houston. Dont mind the higher property taxes for new builds because its used in a productive way and it will eventually come down after the bonds are paid off. I can finally drive a V8 there lol, gas is so damn cheap!! and not to mention 2nd amendment rights are protected here as well. Absolutely loved Houston when we visited last year and we cant wait to be a part of its future. God bless you and thank you for these videos.

      oh sweet summer child.. when you realize bonds to build multi million football high school stadiums instead of school books will only be replaced in 5-10 years with another bond and another. Always remember the grass is greener on the other side until it isn't. I've lived in Texas most of my life and looking to leave (just haven't decided where) because the next cold snap or heat wave dont wanna worry if our power will stay on. You do you but Texas is no where as magical as you think. lol

    My sister is losing sleep over the educational environment her 13 year-old is experiencing. It’s a suburban school in Temple, TX, so she thought it would be fine. Make sure you don’t just check out the neighborhood and typical stuff in your search. If you have kids, do plenty of research about the school.
    Her former neighbor moved for this very reason. Her kids are now at a better school.

      Yes hire a good realtor that knows what is going on! Montgomery county and specifically MISD has been very vocal.

      Just to be clear, it's bad. Really bad...
      Like flipping test scores bad. Despite being recommended for AP English and AP Maths by her teachers, she somehow scores just passing during standardized tests? And somehow a girl known to have a bad academic reputation (and attitude!) gets great numbers? Hmmm...
      Also, allowing trans boys (yes, they are boys, and not girls!) into the girls' locker room? My niece loves swim, and actually beat all the boys on the team, save for one. She quit after last year because of the trans issue. And she even has a trans friend who agrees with her that it's wrong!
      Then there are the paste it notes. You are NOT allowed to take your own notes for class! The teacher provides them and you paste them into a notebook. Lucky for my niece her history teacher is an actual teacher and allows them to keep a separate notebook where they write their own notes (a shame he even has to do this!).
      I can go on with more, but I'll leave you with this: one of my niece's teachers very obviously DID NOT learn basic geography 🙄
      Lake Belton Middle School!

      @LivingInHoustonTexas  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm. Must say I have never heard anyone in this area or in Texas having any experience like that! Def unique! We have quite the opposite.

      @@LivingInHoustonTexas in all of Texas, huh? That's a mighty broad area... Like I said, my sister's neighbor moved just to get into a better school system (actually was the school they were supposed to be attending in the first place, but somehow ended up at that awful school). My sister also spoke with a woman who was head of the parents' association there and the woman told her there is A LOT going on that isn't talked about publicly.
      Anyway, I'll quit hijacking your efforts to promote moving to TX now. I see you're promoting Houston. Not Temple.

    I completely agree with this CA couple. I haven’t moved to TX yet, because I’m waiting on my retirement next year, but their reasons to move there, are my reasons to move there too. I’ve been to TX three times already exploring for areas I would like to see myself living, however, have not found it yet. I’m going again on 10/28 for just the weekend to see a friend and hopefully I will come across to an area I can see myself living. In case you want to recommend any areas, I’m looking for low tax (I will be retired by the time I move), closer to a good hospital (just in case), shops, dining, freeways, born again Christian church (very important), etc. I would love to meet this CA couple maybe they can help somehow, I wished their info was posted… Great video!
