Whenever I try to fill path after using the pen tool. It doesn’t allow me. I can only fill in the path section not the layer section. I always enter this problem. Please help me
After you draw the path and close/connect the dots, press "Esc" button and try to fill. Let me know if this works...

This is not a vector illustration. I find it more easier too. Also, I will post an illustrator tutorial in few days

Yes, that's true. The pen tool works a bit different.

I use the same brush. The 4th from the predefined in cs6.

It's called a clipping mask. Hold the ALT button and click between the two layers
