We popped off so damn loud me and my brother woke up my dad and he was so pissed. Absolutely amazing memory of mine.
when u play a game for years, get better at it, and get more wins in it then eventually the feeling will go away. Even new players get that feeling because theyre new. It has absolutely nothing to do with how the game has evolved
Actually it's a little of both. New players will always get excited no matter what, but while in modern fortnite, I get a win, I'm like "oh cool, I got a win" and just move on. When I play Chapter 1 (via stuff like EZFN) and win, I'm going batshit crazy, I'm losing my mind I take a video or picture and post on snapchat it's crazy. I bet that's a similar situation for alot of others who play C1 revivals

This is definitely a great approach. I feel like zero builds is too boring, but builds is too sweaty so if you implement things like this, but not change competitive I feel like it would be a lot better. 😊
@@damann7778 Well, as a predominantly Zero Build player, I think most people, such as myself, are just too good at the game now, and it sort of spoils the magic. Let me explain: In Chapter 2, when I started, me and my Duo would play every night. We weren't very good, so most of the time, we'd lose. I was on the Switch at the time, so that didn't help either. Then Zero Build came out. I switched to PC and, upon realizing that having a ton of frames no longer handicapped my ability to dominate, proceeded to learn how to do so. Now, we win about 2 matches a night. When I play Solos, I still have issues winning sometimes, but before I die I still take down like 8-9 people so I don't feel like I lost. I still had a good time. See, it's desensitization to losing and winning. It's a blurred line, and it happens when you get better at a game, and it's why the pros drop 30 elim wins and look unfazed. I'm still upset when I lose, but I just queue up and get a win. I'm not really happy when I win so much as I am relieved. I used to feel the sweaty palms and heart racing that he talked about in the video, but I don't now. I'm not nervous fighting my opponents because I know I'll probably beat them. I used to avoid places like those with medallions because "everyone will be landing there and it's a hot drop", but I land there each round now. Now let's take a step back. The rare times that I do play build mode, I lose often, but when I _do_ get a win, it feels MUCH more rewarding. I think overall, the game just becomes less "intense hunger games, everyone's trying to kill me and I have to survive" the more you learn it. Sure, if you want to examine a pro player then there's probably a "definitive" loadout there too, but the game felt more random from round to round because you picked up A) what you could find B) what you felt like playing with today. @damann7778 it literally has 0 building which is the main characteristic of the game. Everyone is always hiding and mantled in a position and scared to run out in the open and being shot.

It's been many years since the last time I was truly happy to get a win in this game. That's something I think about often. It makes me really sad, honestly.
It's you. I feel the same every victory royale because for me they are so hard to come by, but I still get them... I am better solo. I have a ton from previous seasons but lately I have more 2nd place "wins." When I win, it's still great or me.
well for me I do not relate, i still get hyped af when i win im like "yo no way i actually won?" after usually an intense build fight against the last player 😭
When I got my first win, I got up and started jumping up and down IRL and I went to go tell my mom. Now, my friends, I see them get their first win; they don’t even blink. It’s so sad. I wish everyone could experience this. It was special because it was hard. Now bots make Wins frequent, hence, less special.
bots. its bots. getting 90% of the lobby as bots and then killing a single real player as the last guy just feels like the longest and most glorified 1v1 ever, for the longest time I thought it was just me with these lobbies but I've seen a LOT of people talking about it now
I feel like that different game modes and LTMs helped you feel like you got your first win again. Getting your first win in Sniper Shootout or Close Encounters felt euphoric because it was your first win on a new mode. Also it felt harder because there are limitations such as only snipers. I feel like LTMs assisted the idea of new ways to win and that would get you excited to win. If Epic added more LTMs again, people would probably be more inclined to want to win to feel the excitement of winning in a “NEW” way.
I am a zero builds player so the part he mentioned at the start about ducking around corners is real still and it feels amazing getting a win in zero builds, arguably just as good as your first
The game is 7 years old and the stimulation wore off over the years, it ain't that deep, even when my last player isn't a bot I don't really feel hype, I just enjoy the ride to TOP 10 in the match and if I win so be it and if I lose oh well.
So mystic I understand your take on how it doesn’t feel like it’s exhilarating anymore, I totally understand it for me myself. I grind pubs every season for 100’s of crown wins, and I don’t react in the slightest, but when I win in a tournament or something actually challenging then that’s when I feel the thrill of getting a win. Which is sad for top tier players who don’t even make a peep when they drop a 40 kill win in a cash cup because they’re not challenged, I’d say the thrill is from the pressure and effort to want to win
Two things. First: The real reason is because of SBMM and bots, and also how long we've been playing this game. People have thousands of wins already, we kinda got used to it. Also, by making it harder to farm mats you are actually buffing it. I'm not saying I agree with it, but to achieve what you desire you'd need to reduce mats to something like 300 and then make it easier to farm, not harder. if you make it harder, farming will be a chore and you will feel in disadvantage if you don't waste time farming.
For me personally I still get excited when I win but nowhere near the same level as back in the day mostly because of bots. I can probably count on one hand the amount of wins I got all of chapter 1 but ever since chapter 2 I’ve been getting more wins and it’s not because I’ve gotten better it’s because most of my lobbies are bots so the first 15 to 20 minutes of the game is just me prepping for the last 5 to 10 minutes of the game against anywhere between 2 to 5 actual players. And my enjoyment level for the match is completely dependent on if I’m matched with around people my skill level or get one shot by the first actual person I fight. Also the chapter 2 map is just way too big so it can be hard to find people even bots sometimes.
There needs to be incentives to win, even something as simple as win counts attached to skins (e.g you have 100 wins on Black knight skin) or simple ladder systems that unlock rewards for more wins.
The only win that matters to me or let alone anyone should be the first. At least you’re rewarded with something for getting your first win. With the issues with SBMM, lack of purpose for crowns, AI wandering around the map, and how lackluster it is to utilize fun or creative ways to play differently from the norm, makes BR overall uninteresting as the weeks go by.
Only time i felt happy winning was back in the OG days and sometimes in ranked when your in diamond higher rank lobbys. Other then that, i just feel like "cool i guess"
I started in season 4 and never won a solo match until Chapter 2 season 1, when they introduced bots. I was and still am not good. Though when I won my first match, I was so happy. Now it’s a simple “cool” and queue for another match. It doesn’t feel like I won, feels like I completed a side quest in a game.
Nah man, wins are still peak. Especially if they're wins with new guns, mechanics, locations? Some of my favorite moments are from New chapters, in comparison I barely remember my Chapter 1 days... I only remember my first win, where I played "Shhh..." and shot someone who fell too high and took em out for my first VR
Yo mystic, your videos are really great! I agree with you but I still experience hype when I play random squad and we hit off and take the win home, it is so much fun. Keep up the good work man!
I had been playing the game on and off since Chapter 1 season 7 (Though the first time I played was in Chapter 1 Season 5), but I hadn't gotten a win. It wasn't untill either Chapter 2 season 4 or season 5 that I actually played for long enough to get a win (Although I don't particularly remember it well because I essentially did nothing to get it, my freinds just carried me). It was always fun to win but I never felt like the win was truly mine. Most of the time I was dead. My first "True" win (My first solo win) was in Chapter 2 Season 6. I was in that area next to slurpy swamp with the dam and the factories that they always show the boats driving off in the trailers. I was specifically outside the factory in the walled area. I don't remember what went down, I just remember stressfully building whatever, untill I got the jump on the other player, I fall down, and I hit them with a pump. I was so exited, I hastly screenshoted the scene, and I copied it into a GC with my friends and maybe the Fortnite discord, and then I noticed my email going crazy because I had to meet with a teacher minutes earlier. Personally, I don't think the issue with wins not feeling the same has anything to do with the game, like you said it's a case of diminishing returns. After a few wins you hit a rythm, it happens with any game. I got to that point with Wins for a while, but after a long break from the game (Pretty much most of Chapter 5, I played season 1 for a bit but hated it and then didn't pick it back up until the end of Season 3), it feels fun to win again, especially when playing with friends who did the same.
For me, a lot of things just don't feel fun in the game. When you're in a lobby with mostly bots, it's doesn't feel like you're actually playing the game and accomplishing much. I've had matches where the storm circle gets too small and the bot's AI breaks and they run into storm and elim themselves. As for ranked, the extreme grind to Unreal is waaay too steep, boring, and repetitive. It shouldn't take as long to get to Unreal, especially if you just want the cosmetics. There should also be alternative ways to get the ranked styles for these ranked cosmetics, especially if you bought the skin from the store. If they made it to where all of your ranked cosmetics defaulted to the highest rank you've ever reached in the game, that would be nice. That and the skill ceiling is way too high and the players in that mode are gross and toxic.
Never Played in OG Only Been Playing For about a Year Now I Joined Close to the End Of The First OG Season When they Started Bring Back Old Seasons Remixed, I Still Feel That Triumphant Moment When I Get a Victory Royale, Because I Rarely Get them Not That I Suck It's Just I Only Play For Fun, I Don't Really Play To Win, So I Cannot Say I Feel this Way At All, Maybe If I Actual Played to Win I Probably Would tho lol
Fr. Winning isn't the same. Br nowadays are filled with 80% of the bots in lobbies, and 20% of real players. And one of those real players are super sweaty crown flexers.
@@The.Real.Strudl yeah except for bots obviously. People say's there's about 70 bots on average in '100' BR games - which means that itself it over 3 times difference. Then, also I think random team finding wasn't doable in Chapter 1 as well so that's also a massive factor - as players would mostly be playing solo instead of squads -- so that's ANOTHER 4 X times difference on top of that initial 3 times difference --- meaning victory games in Chapter 1 was literally about over 12 times more challenging than after Chapter 1. (Also, you gotta consider that 'downing' wasn't even a thing in Chapter 1 AS WELL so even in team games people would obviously often be straight eliminated. Also, ammo was more sparse and traversal was much slower - games were & felt a lot more slower and climatic-end games). . This video maker is a douche for not researching these kind of things for this video. (also it was only build-mode so people would often build when shooting them which in combination with much less ammo means MUCH more common conservative x ammo saving playstyles). I should make this video topic lol
The main reason is bots. Even in Season X getting a win was really hype since there was no bots yet and it was 100 real players. Now its 80% bots 20% real players in matches and it makes it really boring just killing them with no challenge. Getting a win with all real players was amazing and you felt like a king
i understand what u saying i really do but the reason you might feel this way is because we played when the game was still new and we wasn’t that good so the win felt earned.
It's the opposite for me I just returned to the game after a 5 year break and I used to win all the time and It got boring, now its really hard to win, still haven't gotten a win though.
I don’t know. I know it’s not the same but I still get nervous in solos and 1v1 in the final circle with a player. And my heart rate still sky rockets 😅😅😅😅
Hey, just want to let you know that I think most of your opinions in this video were awful but I like the effort you put into your content and hope for your success!
What if fortnite made a game mode where the mat cap increased after each zone. so begining of the game is less building say 150. and towards the end you can have 500
Its the bots for me. Around 40% of games are full of bots its not satisfying to beat them as you know its a bot. And its especially disheartening when the last player is a bot it just makes the win undeserved. Back in chapter 1 i was so hyped when i would get 10+ kill wins, now when i get 10+ kills, i know more than half were bots
Seriously, ur complaining about Victory Royales now You need some serious help, legit, complaining about victories is insane I still get hyped over wins, heck, my anxiety makes me shake when I'm close to winning, and when I do, I'm thrilled, I'm not a decent player, but for them, getting a win is a gold trophy for me and other people Just thought I'd express my opinions on Victory Royales :0

I remember my first victory royal all the way back in chapter one season 7
It’s a very old game at this point and a big chunk of people have been playing since almost the beginning. So the win has lost its magic.
Winning is still fun to me, especially when it was a clutch one
It's because we are used to it now and gotten better at the game
i also still play bots till this day im literally killing bot squads
wins don't feel the same cause you get better
And one of those real players are super sweaty crown flexers.
yeahh. that is tbch no.1 reason why i quit the game
As soon as crowns were introduced, the feeling of getting a win died.
Of course it doesnt feel the same, its not your first time anymore. Its not the game, its not the players, its you.
It's simply bots main reason
@DA-te7xe and the fact it's not his first time. It's the exact same for new players today
I think it’s more of the people that are really sweaty in this game 😢 because I can never win a game they’re cranking 90s and everything
It's the opposite for me I just returned to the game after a 5 year break and I used to win all the time and It got boring, now its really hard to win, still haven't gotten a win though.
i’m literally so happy to win every time cause i’m actually so bad bro 😭🙏
Same my heart still beats fast when I’m in top 2 💀
Hyped for the old map
idk i still feel triumph when i win today
I still remember my first!
Mans is talking about "not feeling the same." Meanwhile, im struggling to win consistently on solos ffs
Play ranked and this feeling will come back
I don’t know. I know it’s not the same but I still get nervous in solos and 1v1 in the final circle with a player. And my heart rate still sky rockets 😅😅😅😅
Truly Mistic is a baddie
Hey, just want to let you know that I think most of your opinions in this video were awful but I like the effort you put into your content and hope for your success!
I still feel the same ngl
What if fortnite made a game mode where the mat cap increased after each zone. so begining of the game is less building say 150. and towards the end you can have 500
Wouldn’t matter much tho because at the start of the game you don’t have much mats anyways
I get more hyped for warzone wins then fn wins been playing alot of bo6 trying to hit prestige 4!
No way! Your not talking about gatekeeping all the time? This must be not you lil bro
@gaspersnakes who are u again?
Should have made an eminem refrence at 00:30
Too many bots nowdays...rn skillbased matchmaking killed the game.
I honestly think it’s bots that ruin the feel of winning
The reason is because the game is 5+ years old.
first win in s1 and now i win every game in unreal so yea it's boring
Combination of AI, and also basic science. Our brains have now gotten so many wins, it’s no longer nerve wracking.
Of course your 100th win doesnt feel as good as the first
It’s not the game it’s just when you do the same thing a lot of course it won’t feel the same
I havent watched the video yet but obviously not 100 real players since chapter 1 is the main thing
Seriously, ur complaining about Victory Royales now
You need some serious help, legit, complaining about victories is insane
I still get hyped over wins, heck, my anxiety makes me shake when I'm close to winning, and when I do, I'm thrilled, I'm not a decent player, but for them, getting a win is a gold trophy for me and other people
Just thought I'd express my opinions on Victory Royales :0
FORTNITE IS BUNS 😂
