    1-which motor is enough for 200kg sliding gate.(any link or product specs)
    2-forward/reverse bi-direction rotation(how to achieve)
    3-anyway to have a motor speed control possible?

      2-for up to 15A use this th-cam.com/video/tCJ2Q-CT6Q8/w-d-xo.html without direction control

    • @-Primer-

      Been soldering wire for 40 years now and have never seen a solder joint fail due to heat. Poor adhesion maybe, but never heat. 60/40 solder melts at 365F and if your circuit is getting to that temperature, you have done something wrong. Stop spreading that BS lie.

    Hi, thanks for the explanation.
    Important comment: When taking out the jumper to supply power from an independent source for relays, exterior pins shold be used (GND and JD-VCC). The VCC central pin is the same as the VCC in the other input as they are wired together through the pcb.
    I'm doing a little research since my board (NODEMCU ESP8266) works with 3.3V, and I want to try feeding 5V to the relays and 3 to the signal side. Would it be possible? Has anyone tried?

  • @jamest.5001
    @jamest.5001 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    It would be somewhat safer to connect the ac neutral to the relay, being it is connected to ground, and can not make a circuit with ground, you would have to rember the line or hot wire is still live, when the circuit is shut off, so light sockets would still have a live contact, it would make the board safer to touch!

    Hi Ahmad,
    Educational movie, clearly explained, liked and subscribed. Regarding rating of the relay: I never understood why the rating is AC 250V/10A and for AC 125V is also 10A? If this can switch a power of 2.5 KW at 250 V why cannot switch 20 A at 125 VAC, because that would be same power? Thanks.

    • @robojax
      @robojax  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, the piece of metal the current passing through the relay can handle 10A. At lower voltage works fine but higher voltage is prone to causing spark and for that reason you can't say at 250V it can handle 10A=2500W, we should then go back to 125V and use it for 2500W. 10A is the limit. Usually at lower voltages it works fine but can't increase it.

I have separate video on how to drive a relay See it here th-cam.com/video/N-fFk51Eb8s/w-d-xo.html . To keep the power of Arduino and the board separate, it is a good practice to keep the microcontroller and the power section separate. This increases safety.

    I don't have a lot of experience with relays, but I found out that my relay looks the same but works in reverse. When there is power from digitalWrite(7,HIGH) it actually turns it off and the "LOW" command turns it on. I don't know if this is normal, but I would appreciate any input.

    • @robojax
      @robojax  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, that's why we use relay driver so enough power drivers the relay. voltage is one thing, the current (ampere) id different. Power = V*I, where P is power in Watt, V is voltage and I is current in A (Ampere). So you need to use relay module. or build your own relay driver shown in this video th-cam.com/video/N-fFk51Eb8s/w-d-xo.html

    There is TWO HUGE mistakes in this video!!! FIRST MISTAKE: The 5V provided by Arduino is not enough to switch the relay because the optocuplor and the relay is rated at 12 Volts ! SECOND MISTAKE: The 12V for the optocuplor and relay must be provided on the pin named JD Vcc, not on the Vcc because the Vcc from left is connected with Vcc from right and you will put 12V on Arduino 5V and Arduino board will blow. I saw this video and I distroy one Arduino nano board. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE RELAY BOARD!

    • @robojax
      @robojax  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      5V of Arduino can supply minimum 1A which is coming from laptop or desktop. Each relay will use maximum of 100mA so in total this will consume 0.2A so no worries.

    You don't have to run midrolls, that is a fact,
