    3 years later I come by this video, well I'll be damned. I wish more people shared this info because inconsistent Shimano brakes seem to be more than common.

    I had a lot of trouble lately with my shimano XT brakes. The presssure point of my rear brake was wandering and the lever force I had to use, riding slowly and controlled steep sections was way to high. By a park tool video they demonstrate after the formal shimano bleed procedure this burp technique with the brake lever in 3 different positions: neutral, backward rotated and forward rotated. That helped a lot. Now I did the burp technique horizontal with turning in and out the free stroke screw, and guess what? Even more bubles got out. Now I ve got the real defined pressure point! In future I will combine these techniques. Thanks a lot, for this video!

    Would this work with any mineral oil brake?

      @@fran7en Your right about that, tried it with just a syringe (without the top cap) so it is like the funnel and the brakes don't feel any better.
