This is my second time buying this product and I love it. I drop my phone a lot and not a single scratch. Great instructions which made installation easy to do. Thank you 😊
Two additional suggestions:
1) In order to get the best ambient environment for installation, run your shower on "hot" with the bathroom door closed for like 10 minutes. The steam helps trap airborne dust. Shut the shower off and we til moisture levels drop to a comfortable level, and use the (cleaned) bathroom counter - with door closed - to do the entire process (exhaust fan off).
2) Make SURE to do this in a room without sun (direct or reflected). Sunlight is comprised of UV light, so...don't want to pre-cure adhesive in the slightest before you're 100% ready. Another reason a closed-off bathroom is ideal.
I also want to add to your recommendations to use snug fitting gloves when handling the glass and cleaning things. No oils. Works well when I do these types of installs no smudges, and also if your anal retention really kicks in like mine does; use a face mask also. No movement of air AT ALL, and is a good way to put the pandemic masks to good use. 👍🏻
Used my spare one on the new S22 Ultra without using the frame and everything works fine. Fits perfectly.
Just applied the am film to my note 10 plus flawlessly using this as a guide. Thanks alot for doing this!!

Perfect install vid. Did not miss a thing. I have both the Whitestone and amFilm. amFilm is a better product on S and Note 10 lines with in display finger print scanners. My Whitestone is at about 70% accuracy at best and my amFilm is at about 98%, and I also have to barely press with the amFilm unlike pressing much much harder with my Whitestone. Also, amFilm works much better with a dry finger. Final thought is that the amFilm is slightly smaller which makes it more case friendly. Both are great products but amFilm dominates the finger print scanner which is very important to me. For all of you who did not have great luck with Whitestone, have faith that this is the product that will work just about as good as a naked screen, it makes these phones great, iT DOES WORK .Just my experience. Great vid it needed to be done.
Also, amFilms (Techmatte) customer support is second to none.

@@ebpmanAgreed, I think it being thinner probably has the most to do with it. But it is so so slightly thinner I don't think it affects the quality of the product. Whitestone is a great product as well, just not the best choice for the S and Note 10 lines with ultrasonic fingerprint readers.
I've never used amFilm but I do have white stone on my 10+. Finger print scanner works 100% of the time for me. Granted I do have to leave my fingerprint on it an extra second or two but reads it every time.
Hey guys. Yes it was a great video. Very thorough. I have this on my phone as well. I installed it a few nights ago. I have one thing I've noticed though. Wondering if you guys notice the same. Do you notice somewhat of a green tint to it in direct sunlight? Just something I noticed. Other than that it's a great screen protector from AmFilm.

Amfilm works great for me. No problem with the fingerprint sensor. I love that they went over every step in the video they made AND there's two in the box AND it's cheaper.

Which do you suggest is better than Whitestone? All that stuff in the packaging and the price is very intimidating. I've been a zagg user for many years. But seems like their quality is going downhill. But the warranty is phenomenal. So it's hard to beat the price.

Hi All. In Settings go to Display and and turn on "Touch Sensitivity". This is an option for phones with tempered glass. I did this and fingerprint recognition worked like a charm. No more hard pressing.

I had this on my phone and it was wonderful. protected my glass, but when it shattered (while doing it's job) I couldn't figure out how to get the old one off and put a new one on. Any tips?
Ive heard whitestone gets bubbles after a couple weeks of usage and their customer support is ass. Im going to return mines and go for amfilm
My whitestone started coming up after less than a week of usage. That was after the first install went wrong and I couldn't get all the glue off the glass without streaks. I was done with whitestone after all that. I just went into Verizon and had them install whatever they had in stores.
I had the whitestone on my S9+. The S9+ screen cracked underneath after 24 hours with no external force... whitestone refused to even take my phone calls after the initial complaint. Terrible customer service.
Really? I heard the exact opposite and that AMfilm basically doesn't have customer support at all.
Got it on my note 10 plus and I love it. I wore gloves for the install 😅 😬 can't be too careful.
I have used the Whitestone Dome on a few of my phones and they worked out fine, until I got the S10+ and the fingerprint reader just would not work at all. Tried the am Film and a big world of difference. Fingerprint sensor works much better for me with this product. Customer service is way better too.
1st thing I noticed is that I don't see that god awful hole down where the fingerprint scanner is and that is definitely something I can't stand so yes I will purchase one of these kits bcuz I've also heard that whitestone isn't as good as they say..... Kudos my friend great vid!!
Whitestone is way better, because the tray is solid and the bridge to make the glue center, and the easy process, only thing is, you need to have patience and make sure you release it right when the glue hits the center. I dont like the fact that this glass protector has to many dots everywhere, Im sure that would be visible. Where the white stone has only 4 , one on each corner.

Finger Print reader works fine, the LOCA didn't completely spread to the bottom left though so there's like a 6x2mm section that has no adhesive behind it
I think I should just try and live with it though as it's in the bottom left corner and I have a dbrand grip case on it so I should be like tempted to pick at it or anything, then I can install the second one if/when I drop and crack this one

That tapered pull tab to lower the glass looks like a much better design than the Whitestone drop and pray design.
If a corner was not filled in I will get the tube and drop a little drop and then it will get filled..first try!!!! Perfect
I have not had a issue with white dome glass, the finger print works for me and the installation was easy. I can’t say much this was my first time using the protector and 3 months later it still looks new.
I just installed this on my S10. Install was easier than I thought it would be. We'll see how it goes! So far I'm happy with the way it looks and feels on the phone. I also have a lifeproof fre, which fits with this screen protector
Techmatte gave great instructions on how to install the screen. They made it so easy to do.

So... HONESTLY... which is the better? Amfilm or Whitestone?
No air in my installation environment?! I'll be dead but at least my phone will be protected :P
My only issue is the fingerprint scanner, which isn't working well for me. Though I do get the haptic feedback, I have to press incredibly hard to set prints and then use them, and it only works about 25% of the time. I suspect that I didn't put the weight in the exact right place, maybe off a quarter inch or so (despite the sticker guide, which was hard to see once I had put the weight over it). I noticed in your video that the phone was on so you could see that the weight was properly over the sensor. Is that ok? The instructions say to have the phone off, but if it's ok to be on, that would obviously help me confirm that the weight is positioned properly. If the original poster, or anyone, could weigh in (no pun intended), that would be great, thanks!
thanks for video, very helpful and informative. Only critique I can offer is the order in which you do things and skipping a minor step of installation, for example alcohol wiping, and polishing screen before setting up the the tray and having it ready to go immediately after you have finished the polish. Every second you have you screen exposed to the open air after the cleaning is opportunity for dust or other foreign substances to get onto the screen potentially causing a visible imperfection after installation is complete. Furthermore it us unfortunate that you could not see what we see in the video at the time, when you inserted the orange stopper it deposited a number of dust particles on the lower portion of the phone screen. Your choice to skip the dust removal step (dab stickers) was a bad decision and those who are watching this video should be made aware of this. Just because you cannot see anything deposited on the screen does not mean you should skip a step (in this case dust removal stickers) as had the step been followed it is very likely that the aforementioned dust particles would have been removed.
That aside, the video was fantastic and better than the official install video provided by AmFilm. Thank you
So, do I really have to ask.. Which team do you endorse? Bang for buck - AMFilm or WhiteStone?
I go to Best Buy & pay them $7 to install my screen protectors. If they get it wrong? They pay for another or they do it until they get it right. Good for those kinda people like me that just has bad luck with bubbles & stuff under my protectors. $7 well spent. You can even buy one from another store or Amazon & they still install it for you

Is there a weird fuzzy grainy effect on white with this protector for you? I applied the AmFilm glass screen portector and got a issue where the image was covered by a fuzzy grainy effect. It looked terrible

That's why I was checking them out. I think the install method is better on the dome glass.
screwed my whitestone up. msgd them and their only reply was to wipe excess off and try again but i was unable to do it which i told them in the original ticket and they have not replied back since and been like 5 days already.. going to try this one and screw whitestone
How is this holding up so far? Would youn reccomend it over the whitestone dome so far?
Can you also do a video on Clearview screen protectors? They only make them for Galaxy, but not the Note 10 yet. It worked well for my S10+ even with the fingerprint. They sell them on Amazon.
I just wish zagg make an elite curve glass protector so much easier to install worked great on note 8 and 9
How is the removal process? This is what's holding me back. Would purchase with your referral but, definitely have to know how it peels off.
Removing is easy. Just peals off no screen damage. I have removal videos on my channel too

Does this work with the otterbox symmetry series?
Is this better than white stone I purchased it and installed it in a OtterBox defender case for the s10. With in a day several corners were lifting and weirdly in the summer heat when I took it out my pocket it would be lifting and I would have to push it back down to readjust and make it stick. My install went perfect and followed all the directions.
Whitestone dome all the way. Easy to install if you follow the instructions properly
I installed Whitestone when I first bought my phone - they had all the stickers to protect everything around the phone. However, it was a bit tricky to install, and it lasted 6 months.
I installed the AMFILM today, only one sticker to protect the speaker......but nothing to protect anything else. When I pulled my phone out, there was glue EVERYWHERE! It oozed all over the top of my phone and the bottom. I managed to peel it away, I think I got all of it, I'm not sure. Jury is out re performance as I literally only just installed it. But next time I'll use washi tape to cover the ends of my phone. That was untidy.
Was you desk level? I have had that happen when not level surface.
@@ebpman good point, it wasn't, but I leveled out the phone using pieces of paper until it was. It oozed on both ends though. No major catastrophe as I was able to peel the glue off - made a right mess everywhere though. Also has ooze lumps on the sides where the pads should have absorbed. Weird. It hasn't lifted yet (5 hours later), so might end up fine, fingers crossed. :)
is it a problem if i put the weight on after the adhesive has already gone over the fingerprint area, or do I need to put it on prior to it covering that spot?
Does this screen protector work well with cases?
Mine installed with no issues. However, only had it on 4 days and it's already cracked in the middle.
You only uv'd the top and bottom and not the middle. How come? Also how do you remove it?
What kind of warranty does it have if any?
Alot of people were saying the side does not absorb well on the side, is it true that some people said that glue spilled all over the sides to the back?
Really comes down to you surface being level or not. I have had no issue and I have installed multiple devices with this product

What cases work good with both products? I've heard some cases push the corners up. I've been looking at the Ghostek cases and maybe the Otterbox or the Speck.
Can't speak for Ghostek or Otterbox, but the Speck Presidio Grip works just fine on both of these screen protectors.
The amFilm is a little more case friendly as it is cut a little smaller around the perimeter.
I use the Spigen liquid air case and it works like a charm

Good install video but I think I prefer the Whitestone. They are very similar though and it is good to see competition.
Whitestone Dome is the better one so far easy to use than the AmFilm. The AmFilm has too many steps.... again it's just me.

I used the whitestone dome on my S10+ with very little luck as unlocking the phone was a struggle n most of the time literally had to press down..followed yr tips on the curing as well but it did not work for me... so very skeptical if either of this will work on my Note 10 plus.. also it is not available in uae n hav to import from the US @ almost $150 🥶🥶.. so am currently using a plastic screen protector on both my phone☹☹
My white stone dome randomly cracked while I was at work. While on break got my my phone and saw there was a small cracked on the left hand side there customer service is shocking.

@@josburn6768 if you email them then bad I emailed them on the 23rd December and didn't get a reply until mid January. By which time I had contacted them on there Facebook page and had the issue resolved by then.

Yes, it does! I have the Clear Otterbox Symmetry case on my Note 10+, with the AmFilm Ultra glass screen protector on.

One comment. You work with your hands over the phone too much. People should wash their hands to a surgical level and keep their hands from being directly over the phone except when necessary (applying adhesive) THAT is where that extra spec came from you needed to remove. Use common sense as well as your eyes.
I usually use gloves for this matter, I also use a facemask, like a surgeon. That way no oil or breathing to mess up install. 👍🏻
