@@ThriftStoreBibles my pleasure glad you got to see the video. Well worth the money I have had it a few years now and it's never been any trouble making QSO. I always receive good reports and it's been fault free. A great mono band radio built well and great to operate. Mine is hooked up to an extension speaker and it made the rx awesome. Hope you enjoy yours when you get one.
Awesome little radio!! I love mine and use it a lot , the only complaint i have is the VFO knob is way too easy to turn but other than that its an excellent radio
Yes I guess it is quite easy to knock onto the neighboring frequency/channel when accidentally touching the vfo. Great radio for real with no complaints for sure. Have a good afternoon bro 73
@M0YKSHamRadio I will probably never part with mine, it was my first, new VHF radio. They are no Icom 2730A but for a single band radio I don't think you can touch them in quality unless you wanna drop another $100.. The receiver is great and I always get great signal reports..I regularly check into nets 60 miles away with no trouble through a Diamond X300-A
Hi Victor great to see you in there. Yes very similar radio and both fantastic for 2m fm rag chewing. I hope to hear you somewhere on the bands again soon. best 73 enjoy your day.
@@101blog ill try to get up there next time or somewhere higher up the hills there are many prime places within 20 minutes. The static is just shy of 1000ft asl so maybe I'll be there. I worked the first one a couple of years ago from up there it was good 👍
Congratulations on gaining your new license and Call. That is great news to hear. Thanks for watching and saying hello, enjoy ham Radio and have plenty of QSOs. Best 73 good luck and Welcome to the hobby.
Thanks, appreciate some long-term use feedback. I'm eyeing one of these as a first mobile unit and it seems well liked.

I still use the ft2500m. Workhorse other than the microphone.
Cool.. I still have a FT-2600m also replaced it's mic but still works good with 60w out. I use it at my holiday cabin had it 20 years. Great radio
