- www.truthforli... || By: Alistair Begg - (Mark 10:23-31) When Jesus told his disciples that it is difficult for the wealthy to enter the kingdom of God, he pointed to a truth that applies to everyone. Alistair Begg teaches us that unless God changes our hearts, we will never be willing to turn from our selfish interests and follow Christ. From beginning to end, salvation is the work of God alone, and is not based on human achievement.
Alistair, I have found your words most gratifying, to stand up on the truth in Jesus, words, is the most correct a man can be. knowing that way to the kingdom, is of the spiritual connection to him, and not of this earthly realm we live. then knowing if we wish to gain passage ( the spirit) we shed the ideal and principle we live her on earth.
Brilliant sermon, thought provoking and challenging. Gods grace truly is so amazing!!
I absolutely love this sermon. Such a profound insight from Pastor Begg. I’ve listened to this many times in the last few years. I hope to take this with me all my days. Thank you for your ministry and faithfulness to what the Lord has entrusted!
Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. -Mark 10:18

Rich Young Ruler: How many persons is it recorded that Jesus "loved" that person....Can the Lord unlove someone, especially when recorded in the Word of God?? Mark 10.21 records that "JESUS BEHOLDING HIM LOVED HIM" and so, I love this young man and would never disparage him, Jesus used his life and riches to make a point to us...I have a joyous HOPE that later that man through the power of God gave ALL his life and possessions over ....why?? because Jesus said beholding (the rich young ruler) him Jesus LOVED him. How many of us have a testimony of turning away from the Lord before salvation when presented with the Gospel and then later because of the mercy and Power of God towards us, the Called, we called on Him in repentance. again, Mark 10.21 "Jesus beholding him LOVED the rich young ruler...our entering the kingdom rests only on the mercy and Power of the Lord Himself toward us.....nothing of ourselves. At what point in eternity did the Lord begin to love you and will He rescind that love? NO!
He loves everyone, even his enemies. So basically everyone will eventually come to a knowledge of the truth and be with God.
@@SonOfGodphotography Whaaat?? mrk10.21 was specifically addressed only for that particular person, the "beloved" rich young ruler...not ur inclusiveness in that "eventually everyone..."
Before the creation the Lord knows whom He will call the Elect AND NOT because He looks in the future and see u doing something good.... He will call, He will elect, He will predestine, He will choose..... AND that IT (salvation) is NOT something we can "just" get because "everyone will eventually receive what? forgiveness?....
Absolutely nothing within our human self would have anything to do with God. This doctrine is explained even more deeply in Romans 9:13-33, Rms10:1-21...John17 AND Romans 8:27-30.
Once you are born as a "sojourner" on this earth.....the Holy Spirit ministers to a particular person, preparing that person to come in repentance, to call out as a sinful person for God's mercy unto salvation via Jesus Christ who bore the stripes and punishments and death for those who through the POWER of the HS calls out to God for forgiveness.
So, when that Shepherd of the particular sheep (that are mixed in with all other sheep), THOSE particular sheep will hear the voice of the Holy Spirit.... they go, they follow the Shepherd's voice, and IF there is that one sheep that strays, that belongs to the Shepherd, that is beloved by the Shepherd, the Shepherd will go "find" him and bring him into the Shepherd's flock. So, NO basically NOT "everyone will eventually come to a knowledge of the ......and be with God."❤
@@BAM-jc7uy many people interpret those scriptures that you take literally in an allegorical way, and there are many Christians that don’t believe in the predestination as much as you Calvinists do. TULIP 🌷
