He used to be an Arminian, then he saw the truth of Calvinism and never went back.

Only Jesus could say only God is good, because he is God. He testified about himself. He knew the hearts of the people and that’s why he came from heaven because our hearts are evil filled. If we analyze the answer Jesus gave the rich man, we figure out it was profoundly good because God is good.

Mark 10:17 Why do you call me good? Only God is good. The standard is the Character of God Himself. At first when encounter this Character - we are broken to pieces, shattered. It is what the law really means. The Law of God. Understand. Sell all you have and give away and follow me. The Ten Commandments - It means so much more. Your wealth is your God not God. The rich young ruler walked sway sadly for he was wealthy. Ee rely on Grace and Grace alone. We think way too much of ourselves outwardly not of the heart and Soul. I write what Dr. Sproul says and learn every time more and more of what he preaches and teaches about the Character of God. Give all your heart and all you have to someone you encounter if the question arises or is forth coming. It happens often that we have the opportunity to be or act in a Godly way but I can’t say I have always seized every moment but when I have, I have never regretted it. I can say I am re-born because I have given more than I ever have had. I am on the journey to inherit life everlasting because of This preacher teacher and founder of Ligonier ministries and all the fellows that have followed. Amen ❤

Mark 10:21 "Then Jesus beholding him LOVED HIM, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me." I capitalized the words that indicate that Jesus loved the rich young ruler. Some, like Arthur Pink, dispute the idea that Christ loves all (Pink going so far to insist that this young man got saved later on without any Scripture to back it up.)

If we are children of light we should walk in the LIGHT. If we truly follow the example of Jesus Christ we will obey the law of GOD as Jesus obeyed the law of His father when He was walking this earth in human form. The law won't save us but the law is there to guide us to walk in the way of the LORD there is a standard in Heaven and that same standard is apply to us here on earth. The law of GOD is seal in heaven and it is also sealed here on earth obeying the law of GOD leads to RIGHTOUNENESS through the son of GOD Jesus Christ. And through the RIGHTOUNENESS of Jesus Christ we are saved. No other name under the heavens that we can be saved but only through the name of Jesus Christ. Glory HALLELUJAH
Our Father in Heaven, we come asking you to please! help us to walk as Jesus Christ walked when He was here on earth. He obeyed your law HIS FATHER we are asking for the same mind that was in Christ, the same love He Christ had for you to be in Us to truly love you and Jesus Christ, we asking for the same faith that Jesus had in you that He Jesus would deny self and take up His cross and follow you father GOD. Every spiritual aspect of Jesus's life is one that we are praying for to be ours. We want to fully through the power of the Holy spirit working in us we are made new the catheter of you Jesus Christ in us and through us. We die to self today we surrender all to you Jesus Christ let the Holy spirit have His own sweet way in us that we will gain victory over sin through you Christ Jesus. You are mixing law and grace
Question: Rich Young Ruler: How many persons is it recorded that Jesus "loved" that person....Can the Lord unlove someone, especially when recorded in the Word of God?? Mark 10.21 records that "JESUS BEHOLDING HIM LOVED HIM" and so, I love this young man and would never disparage him, Jesus used his life and riches to make a point to us...I have a joyous HOPE that later that man through the power of God, GAVE ALL his life and possessions over ....why?? because Jesus said beholding (the rich young ruler) him Jesus LOVED him.
How many of us have a testimony of turning away from the Lord before salvation when presented with the Gospel and then later because of the mercy and Power of God towards us, the Called, we later called on Him in repentance. again, Mark 10.21 "Jesus beholding him LOVED the rich young ruler...our entering the kingdom rests only on the mercy and Power of the Lord Himself toward us, the called.....nothing of ourselves. At what point in eternity did the Lord begin to love you and will He rescind that love? NO! And, so Jesus beholding him loved the rich young ruler.

The rich young ruler doesn't believe Jesus is God and thinks that Jesus is just a conman and that is why he is not willing to sell everything he has and follow Jesus
It is easier to have a camel go through the head of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
I would ask Jesus what he thinks about being made a god.

@@rhondae8222 this is the truth. The deity of Christ is an essential doctrine, necessary for mans redemption. If you dont serve and worship the True God of Scripture (Father, Son, Holy Spirit), then you serve and worship a god that doesn't exist (false god). A god created in the image of man.
