Look up Doug Kaufmann "Know the Cause" on TV and youtube, and Gary Null website for anti-cancer holistic treatments, and things to stay away from, God be with you, we need car guys to stay alive!
And to think they were all saved from becoming demolition derby cars long ago is a true testament to one man's dedication to rescuing and preserving as many cars as possible!
Mr. Goodpliers you are doing such good work for these old cars. Posts 2:00 are for cows to lean on out in those Nebraska cow pastures. Cars with B pillars are Sedans. Doesn’t matter how many doors, they are Sedans. No B pillar makes them a Sport Coupe or Sport Sedan. Use your bully pulpit to educate the masses and give these cars the respect they deserve.
I can’t believe your knowledge on these cars. Man you have forgotten more than I’ll ever know about these old cars. I really enjoy these videos. Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks 4 the memories ! I admire you a lot!!! Keep up the good work & keeping this alive, showing collectors where 2 find hard 2 find parts & extremely rare cars that needs 2 B brought back & put back 2 their glory & keep their history alive
I can impress my friends by identifying cars on the fly and I'm old enough to know them. Like at a cruise in. But MAN! Your knowledge is impressive! Gonna have to subscribe.
The Chrysler Saratoga was a 57, they offered dual headlights in 47 of the 50 States.....Nash was the only other company that offered dual headlamps in the USA...everyone else was 58
Neat-O! The Thunderbird has such a fascinating product history. Based on a production Ford sedan, it was originally built to compete with the Corvette. Then it became a four seater unit body with a Lincoln/Mercury engine, then a "personal" car, then built on the Lincoln Mark IV chassis, then the Cougar chassis, then the Fox body Mustang chassis, back to the Cougar, then back to being a two seater personal specialty car.
Hey Mr Goodpliers, any chance you can show more of the orange and brown international short bed? Also, there is a pea green 69 international truck up by the building. The single bar grille was one year only. My grandpa had one very similar to it. Love to see more on it if possible. Thank you forsharing all of finds
It's strange that after watching so many of your videos, I've not seen one Gran Torino. Wonder why? Many of these cars are rather cute, nice designs, and really different colors. I like raccoons but I don't like that they go wild on the interiors of these old vehicles. I love the hood ornaments that these cars have. Some have airplane theme, ram theme, space themes. My all time personal hood ornament that I love are the bulldogs on the old Mack Trucks.
Thanks so much for stopping by the channel Leslie! I did show a Gran Torino in the "Movie Car Madness" video. I think the hood ornaments are awesome too. Tough to pick a favorite, but the Packard figure holding the wheel is a legend in my opinion!
@@fuzzwack1 Should have done some research before commenting....Chrysler did offer a 3-speed manual floor shift option in '62...which makes it even more rare...only 2071 units made.
Even though Quad Headlights were illegal in some they were legal in others. Mercury's came either way. I have a friend who has 3 57 Merc's. All Quad headlights. Awesome yard.
As you've been traveling through what license plates have you seen or what have you seen that might make you think most of these cars come from a close City by where you are right now or the next state over... where did most of them come out of
GM stopped Saturn (never profitable) division production 2009, Olds 2004 (became unprofitable), and Pontiac 2009 (became unprofitable). Ford dropped Mercury division production 2001, and Chrysler dropped Plymouth division production 2011.
No Dodge trucks despite Dodge sedans. Scarcity of Lincolns and no Imperials or Chrysler 300s. Could be middle class "no frills" farm town where the Ford salesman was best trained and sold the most cars. Brand loyalty for the International trucks which won out over Chevy and Ford trucks unless those sold off first. Surprised there weren't more Studebakers. Really good parts.
This is an amazing yard. I live in Edmonton Alberta but I'm interestex in many of these resting Beauties. Could I please get Mr. Rost's phone number so as to coordinate a trip there in the coming months? THANKYou for sharing your treasures!
From what it sounds like the owner is getting older and is now considering selling his cars. I know there are people who believe the longer you hold onto items they increase in value. Unfortunately these are wrecked cars stored out in the north with no cover. Nature and rust take over leaving something that used to be a restorable car. He should have sold these vehicles 20 to 30 years ago at least.
I open doors and close them after I have never heard of not opening doors if you don't have to must be your area deal because I have never heard of that at all
Yeah Nebraska you know how you know Nebraska's in the middle of nowhere cuz I'm 54 and I've never met one person that was born and raised or even live there for short time East cupcake is the Capital isn't it anyways I know the good football players come out of Nebraska and corn fed big boys big freckled white boys the center for pro football teams NFL teams always from Nebraska weren't they the big corn-fed centers the Braska guy with me Junkyard etiquette maybe for newer cars but for something like that open the door Maybe by opening the door and it shuts nice you'll buy it and it won't go to the crusher

The 4 door rambler American at 8:00 is a 1960. 59 had a raised lip on doors where you laid your arm that 60 doesn't have.
Fascinating, thanks John!

66 & 67 Chargers have the coolest instrumentation dash clusters, and back lighting.........
Watching from Brazil.

The 69-70 Cougar looks like a Eliminator. Rare Kitty.
Just think, somebody was once very excited when they bought those cars new. The stories they could share if they could talk.
@Jamari Christian go away with your scam
@Jakob Alfred your the same person scamming.
I hope a good number of them are solid enough to be restored. The yellow International pickup at 27:05 looks like one such candidate.
Very nice 👌 from Michigan
Fantástico....thanks
This is like a narration of 'This was your car' in some after life junk yard...in cold as hell.
Really cool cars, wish I had the time to go get some of them. I would like to buy all the Edsels.

I always play reverse chronological time lapse a vehicle from its point here to where it started its journey from the showroom floor brand new! 🤔

Wonder if that Desoto still has it's 325 Poly engine I love the forward look Mopars If it was a Firedome it would of had the Hemi in it
57 Desoto that would be my pick.
Cool
Any of those old Dodge’s have the Early Red Ram HEMI’s in them ?
Pretty sure that Chrysler Newport was a hack job 4-speed conversion...You can see the original push buttons for the automatic transmission on the dash
Looks like a delete plate on there to me...

I think the Kaiser with the opening rear end is called a Vagabond. I think.
That Pontiac coupe after the Ford Fairlane was a 55.
At 18.51 the Mercury you showed is a 57 not a 58. The 58 had the bumper closer to the headlights and the bumper went across closer to the hood.

Correct me if I'm wrong , but I thought all Chrysler cars were Push Button Transmissions. Could you get a stick on the floor ? Doesn't seem right.
