Michael Gerard Tyson (born June 30, 1966) is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1985 to 2005. Nicknamed "Iron Mike"[3] and "Kid Dynamite" in his early career, and later known as "The Baddest Man on the Planet",[4] Tyson is considered to be one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time.[5] He reigned as the undisputed world heavyweight champion from 1987 to 1990. Tyson won his first 19 professional fights by knockout, 12 of them in the first round. Claiming his first belt at 20 years, four months, and 22 days old, Tyson holds the record as the youngest boxer ever to win a heavyweight title.[6] He was the first heavyweight boxer to simultaneously hold the WBA, WBC and IBF titles, as well as the only heavyweight to unify them in succession. In Mike's book he mentioned the time he arranged to have a drug dealer come to his hotel room so he could buy drugs. The drug dealer didnt know he'd be selling to Mike Tyson and showed up and saw Mike and knew that Mike had a fight later that night and the drug dealer wouldn't sell to Mike and told Mike he had a fight later that night and needed to be at his best for the fight and he ran away! Mike had just got out the shower and tried to run after him but he had to turn back because he wasn't dressed.
I couldn't believe a drug dealer would refuse to sell drugs to someone. A drug dealer today would see to anyone no matter what.

I truly believe Iron Mike meant well with this. Coming from Brownsville, Brooklyn, especially at the time he came up, Mike definitely saw the raw and real effects of Hardcore drug abuse! The Drug Dealers were the only realistic celebrities a lot of kids from the hood could inspire to be like unfortunately! 😔
