Buck is one of those players whose style is immediately recognizable. His bends and vocal musicality just kill me. Can’t wait to see where his career takes him.
Cardinal black and Chris Buck are phenomenal. The dude got on stage and jammed out with Slash. Love or hate Slash, that's a MAJOR flex. Legendary player.
@@JuanLuna-ew3zo Slash can be an enigma to guitarists! It's strange to put it into words, but he's simultaneously in the eyes of many as both one of the most overrated while also simultaneously being one of the most badass guitarists out there. I personally love Slash, he's why I picked up a guitar when I was a small little kid in the late 90s-early 2000s (well before GH3).
Slash is amazing. If you were a teen in the 90s, he was almost our generation’s Page (Les Paul, massive riffs, great solo phrasing, epic tracks). For a while Guns N Roses were the biggest band on the planet and he was so critical to that.
Aside from the tube on this.... What's the big difference between this and the Dane from a sound/dynamics perspective and if you had to choose one over the other.... Which one?
To my ears, and this is obviously subjective, they are not similar at all on the drive side. The boost is indeed a little similar in both (original Dane not the MKII that has a different clipping boost option). The drive on the Dane is Sing-y, thick, full, round, leans heavy on the mids, it feels like a proper proper overdrive, in my opinion, one of the best overdrive I’ve tried to date . The drive on this one is WAAAYYY more amp like. When I’m messing around with the knobs on the electric lightning, it feels like I’m messing with the knobs on an amp. Turn the volume all the way on on the EL? it literally break up, turn the drive way up? It’ll literally sag and saturate. Turn the mids al up? It’ll get nasally and take away from the bass. Just like an amp I hope this helps, I tend to ramble if you’ve seen any of my videos
Sounds great. My question is how is it different from the Dane that I have? The Dane while already expensive at around $300, this one at $499 is just going too far in price. I think Chris is great and he needs to be compensated for his hard work but $499??? Really.
Thanks for the view and the comment! That means the algorithm thinks you love this channel and will show you more of me. Maybe you’ll learn something while you’re here who knows

Buck is an amazinf player. A singular touch, a outstanding melodic sense. Brillant by all account.
Buck is a outstanding player
Gives Buddy Blues that Chris Buck Sound for sure.

This thing sounds awesome. One day I'll get my hands on a Thorpy pedal. Great video, brother!
Thanks so much dude!

That would be a great comparison vid!

Why aren't you on Adrian's playlist? Robbed. Great review as always!
Is it based on any particular circuit?

The pedal sounds great but the price is outrageous
It sounds really good but $500 is tough.
Ok, I get the "boutique" thing. I've got some "boutique" pedals.
But man...500€ for an overdrive pedal, it's HARD
does that amp have a bright switch? i hear this fizzy thing on top.
When he rolls the vol back on his guitar, the fizz goes away
@@bookmarcreads that works for him. i can't be bothered. i'll just get a pedal that isn't fizzy on top.
AndyDemos got #2
Maybe, but Andy is forever number 1
Maybe Chris should demo this pedal. This guy, ugh
