The fact is that out of 78 ministers , 27 are OBC, 12 SC, 8ST, 11 women, and 1 each from Buddhist, Christian, Sikh and Muslim communities. 33:00 The debate on manufacturing or not is such a stupid elitist debate. Those are against manufacturing are defeatists who think just because we might have automation (I doubt manufacturing will be fully automated, it will be heavily mechanized) we have to give up. At the end of the day, manufacturing still provides value, it provides jobs. One manufacturing job created means one person that is no longer underemployed/unemployed, is vastly more productive and that's one less job that needs to be created to employ the unemployable. When will academics especially like Raghuram Rajan get this simple concept in their head? We might have missed the bus but better late than never. Honestly, folks who argue against it should be debarred and their academic credentials should be revoked.

They think which government in India would be better for WESTERN interest. So accordingly they make negative comments about Modi government since it doesn't toe the line dictated by west.
Whereas Indian people, who are the actual voter, when they think about choosing the government they think of what's good for INDIAN interest(As it should be).
You call yourselves journalists & experts but can't even do an objective analysis of a country's government & politics. INDIVIDUAL IS THE SMALLEST MINORITY IN THE WORLD THAT MUST BE APPEASED. INDIVIDUAL’S HUMAN RIGHTS & ECONOMIC RIGHTS ARE MOST IMPORTANT.
PM Modi rightly identified this minority (Individual) rather than religious minority.
Hundreds of millions of Indians under PM Modi got access to toilets, cooking gas, electricity supply, bank accounts, micro-finance, interest subvention on housing loans etc and are now in the process of getting piped water in every house & healthcare facilities.
Millions of oppressed Muslim ladies got dignity with elimination Halala & triple talaq.
A billion Hindus got right to worship at their apex religious site in Ayodhya to fulfill their spiritual needs.
Thousands of persecuted minorities thrown out of the neighboring Muslim countries & living dejected life for decades under clutches of psudosecularism were set free & are being given life of dignity & honor with Indian Citizenship.
PM Modi knew that investment in the people is the real progress. Fulfillment of peoples' basic needs comes before everything else. This is what governance is for. This is what governments are for. This empowerment of people led to rapid economic growth. Still better life is on the cards during PM Modi's 3rd term.

If he secures a third term with a significant majority, his vision could elevate India to a level comparable to present-day China. This is Alyssa's stick to beat India with and .i.e Jobs and everybody from Rural areas moving into cities. Thats just not possible.
Food Security is very important for India as is territorial security. 68% of India's economy is agricultural and naturally that employs largest section of Indians. Hence, commonsense says, invest in Agriculture. The farm laws is the beginning of that Policy. Agriculture has potential to provide min. Income worth $500 per month to people involved with it. That and Narendra Modi's Rurban concept can transform things in a short time. People wont have to cities for menial jobs as they will have a decent life in their home town in Rural India with urban facilities.
Alyssa is a dreamer of the Great American dream. Well USA when it was growing in early 20th century did not have any rules to follow. India will never become China . Dictatorship.
Hence, Alyssa must look at what the Govt of India is doing and lend them support.

It is indeed sad how incompetent & clueless the opposition has made itself irrelevant and thereby handed over this election on platter. The only saving grace is that PM Modi is a rational & wise nationalist.

Ashok Malick doesn't deny India has lot of fault lines and says clearly Social Media amplifies ALL these issues, but what is the govt doing about it? Where is the long term vision? What is Indian about it? Why haven't they come up with something like UPI that is designed with Indian conditions in mind? This is their biggest blind spot and weakness. They have acquired power and influence using Social Media's many negative features. And therefore they don't see them as issues. This is the greatest danger to the future of India. Any change to social media architecture threatens Modis source of power and influence. So he can't change it while Ashok Malick & Co are admitting social media is amplifying India's fault lines.

    1. Land law
    2. Labour Law
    3. Tax Law
    Simple
But BJP or RSS will never let that happen because that would mean touching the farmers and that would mean they getting rich and geting EMPOWERED and thats exactly they dont want ...why because they dont want lower castes to move up the ladder
