This film is not about hedonism but about the horrors of a mental disorder. In my opinion, she conjured the 'memory' of her seeing the baby climbing the table as a justification for her whole 'theory of all', where nature and women are evil. Because she was indeed in the room having sex when Nick fell.
Everyone is entitled to their own interpretation, but I do believe you missed the mark with hedonism there (it's just not a topic elaborated on in the film) taking the 'memory' at face value.
Very well-structured and edifying video though, thank you!

You did a great job breaking this down in an intelligent and unbiased way. I felt smarter after watching this 😁

      >filters the entire movie through a feminist lens and does not mention any symbolism portrayed in the movie that can’t be easily connected to said reading.
      “unbiased” 💀

Put classic music and philosophy in a movie and Wolfgang overlooks all weaknesses of the movie

If only he had some camera people who do not suffer from seizures and could hold their cameras tight and calm. Shaky cam makes movies unwatchable and does provide a trashy 90's Blairwitch vibe to every movie, no matter how good the actors or the scripts are.

@@fearofmusic1312 I can see what you mean however I personally don’t agree. In my opinion the way Lars von Trier uses the shaky cam creates a very unsettling grittiness and an atmosphere that suggest that the scene is not meant for you to be watched. It doesn’t have a Blair Witch feeling for me at all. But if it really bothers you that much you can still watch the musical scenes from Dancer in the Dark.

This is sadly, the most pathetic take I have ever seen being forced onto a movie. Not one single concept in this video is supported by the movie.
The movie clearly showed us that this woman was a HORRIBLE person. The movie gave us two plausible reasons why: one) she might have been mentally ill; or two) she might have been under the spell of actual witchcraft. The husband, being a therapist, disregarded all of her statements that implied witchcraft. He didn't even acknowledge witchcraft as a possibility, DESPITE her point blank stating she was afraid of Eden, and Eden ONLY, that nature was "Satan's church", that she was having auditory hallucinations when there, that the more she studied the so-called "Gynocide" the more she was convinced that women were evil AND THAT is when the attacks on her began; turning Eden into a place she had loved into a place she feared.
On the hike there she began stalling by taking her boot off and later wanting to sleep. As she neared the cabin's woods, at the bridge, she hesitated, then crossed it at a sprint and didn't stop until inside the safety of the cabin and out of the woods.
The man began hallucinating once he crossed the bridge. When he slept with his hand outside of the cabin's protection, unprotected in nature, it was covered in ticks. He began having bad dreams. So despite everything she told him and his own mounting evidence that she might be correct, he dismissed her fears with psychology arguments and social norm arguments (- that woman can do no wrong and are the victims of misogyny.) von Trier even spelled Antichrist as: ANTICHRIS♀for crying out loud!! So this was a Witchcraft possession story that was told without ever saying it was a Witchcraft possession story and that YES, women, as a whole, are terrible horrible people.
But what did he get out of it? The exact OPPOSITE!
