@@udidgood No you can't. You have to connect two contacts on the back of the module with metal tweezers. The contacts are marked and there is likely a sticker on the module that tells you how to reset the module after battery replacement.

Yes. Casio watches are manufactured in China and I guess only Japan market ones are made in Japan
Why did you not reset the module after replacing the battery?

Tired enough to not notice that without an AC Reset the display was not working properly? That's tired alright.
