I used to live with my grandma in the old people's home across the road from M.I.T.
Every Saturday she used to call a taxi to take us from one side of the road to the other to get to the markets, cost her $2 and the taxi drivers always came and never complained.
I didn't know Otara was a dangerous place til I grew up and saw the bad media about home on the news, I thought they were talking about Soweto in SA.
