Growing up in the 70's was probably the most memorable time for me with MUSIC being the high energy. We were SO spoiled with all the insane talent selection. All the genres of music were peaking and it's easily evidenced with this channel of 70's ----- music.
This sounds oddly incredible through a simple set-up at low band 144 p: Yamaha RX-V385, Definitive bookshelves, and ELAC sub. Analog. Thanks for sharing!
I never heard Jimmy Cliff's Seven Times To Rise Seven Times To Fall until I heard it here! Thank you. RESPECT TO ALL - May these tunes bring you Peace!

Absolutely superb selection, I've not heard many of these and to call them 'obscurities' is by no means a judgement on these top class tunes. Isn't it astonishing how such a small country (in terms of population) as JA has consistently been producing the most sublime, uplifting and inspiring music in such great quantities, with an excess amount of amazingly gifted and talented musicians and singers? Thank you for posting Rootswise, and salute to Jamaica!
You are absolutely right! It is amazing! And then even still more amazing is that there is still so much being made. I also get the feeling, but am not sure about this, that there are a lot of hidden gems now surfacing on youtube. I specifically remember a German dude finding some tape recordings in his grandma's basement and it had so many great never before released tracks. If you search for "roots reggae rare tape" you'll see it on top and I believe he also has a video where he explaines the whole story. Have a great day reggaelovers!
My spotify crapped out today, so I hit up TH-cam and oddly how it went from Depeche Mode to this but dude. . . this run is dope! Awesome wax! Wish I had ALL of what you're laying down. This is just so chill! Gonna have to listen to this some more! Thanks for spinning the disks and letting them ride!
I rarely comment on songs I like and when I do to me it's sharing a lot I mess around with music and thought this was a eastern European choir sample from Romania or close to it and it's not lol Grandmaster NeCrO keeping programming that fire and as always and forever all of NoN PhiXiON keep making moves and if whoever in the band changed paths I understand and keep reinventing and living.
seriously!! haha Im at 2:39:39 when i realized wtf i been doing nearly 3 hrs!?! Carry on.... I'm going to stay in this happy place till the track runs out! reality will have to wait!!!! JAHHHHHHH one love
