@5:29 there are two "missing files" I have tried and tried to fix this (multiple fixes and re-uploads) yet it's still a problem. Against everything in me, I'm going to let it go, lol 🦀🦀🦀I'll post the two missing pics on my Community tab (Click on "my take at The Lake" under the video, that takes you to my channel's Home page, there are several tabs there (Home, Videos, Shorts, Playlists, COMMUNITY, Membership, Store). Click "Community" to see the two mystery pics. Thanx for your patience with this (I could use more myself, hahahahah). You can also see lots of pics in the video they're from here: th-cam.com/video/R76fKnd73JE/w-d-xo.html
Sad is right!!! Yikes. Zero critical thinking skills taught either...that explains a lot, lol I am loving this book project, so relaxing to throw watercolor around knowing it's "going to a good cause" lol. Always great to see you, thanx for stoppin' in 🤓
What a fantastic idea! I love how your mind works…seeing something someone else has done and going off on your own journey with it. I love the idea of having so much fodder all in one place and your organization of it by color does my overly micro managing heart glad.
All in ONE place, YES!!! And I'm so glad, this book won't keep your organized mind up at night 😉 Believe it or not, I do like things organized and neat too. But sometimes I have to pick my battles here, lol. (as there are countless and limited time and energy, so my words collection is a nightmare, but I've got some cool projects in the works ⚖️ I'm working on something else that may make that part of you glad too, can't wait to show ya' 🤓
PS Sadly, my gel plate prints are still MIA. Have had several family emergencies here and my calendar/project/room purge plans have gone by the wayside for a while, but I've not forgotten. As with most things around here, it's gonna' take time 🤪
Absolutely all good things we could use more of: relaxing. Easy. fun. Colorful. Useful... ✈️ You must be home from your African Adventure? I watched every video in rapt awe.
I’m so Happy you showed this! I’m going to be sitting in a hotel room all weekend, and am having a hard time deciding what to bring with me. This sounds like something that I can do with only a few supplies. :-)
Ohhhh! That sounds wonderful, alone in a room with some fun toys. No laundry, no dishes, no yardwork...all good, ENJOY! Perfect: Yes!!! The universe has perfect timing!
Love how you’ve organized this book into color coded sections chock full of beautiful watercolor doodles you can rip out and add to all kinds of projects! That Canva image you made for the cover looks amazing - great solution to those scribbles. Woohoo I’m so excited you’re working on the green pages with us - fav color! 💚💚💚 The title of the story you’re painting on is “The Lagoon” - maybe you could do a page of green kelp doodles? (if that appeals to you!) I would definitely make one of these - the perfect blend of relaxing and useful. 😍 Spirals, stars, hearts, wavy ocean wave lines - those seem to be the kind of patterns I create the most. Now i really want to grab one of these old books I’ve been holding onto and start painting away! Sending lots and lots of love and hugs from me and Sophs to you and sweet Bitsy! 🐺✨🍁💜💚🖤
Yes! Great mix of relaxing AND useful, my kind of project. Love your list of possibilities I will add some of them to my list too. YESSSSS !!!! Do it! Grab a book and get to making, with my little travel kits, this is a couch craft for those TV/movie nights 📺🍿🎨👍🏼 Hugs n love to you and Sophia from Bits n me 🌀⭐️✨💙💚💙🌊🌊
PS I would like to say publicly: I LOATHE the difference between Apple emojis 😎 (VERY cool, kinda realistic) and what shows up on YT 😝 (stupid, not even close most of the time, quite off the mark 😖)
😂🤣😂 awwww, thanx! I am LOVING this book and can't wait to start tearing it up for projects 🌈🎨 Thanx so much for spending some time here and leaving a smile-worthy comment: much appreciated 🤓
Great idea! What a super cool book too. Yeah, I still have a hard time using a real book, but I do and you're right about them going into the trash/recycle so... I never use a dryer/heat gun; why listen to that noise when you're in the creative zone? Not for me. I'm not mentioning the "fan..." word; would like someone else to win. TFS! 👍
So strange, today I watched an Ancient show and saw loads of "geometric art" on pottery. That's what your designs remind me off, throw in a few zig zag type things and some weird snakes and you'd be right on lol
You're quite welcome, I'm big believer in giving credit where credit is due whenever possible 🤓 and your little green squares sent my imagination alight, lol.
This is Fantastic! Former bookseller here - my eyes probably bugged out the first time I was told to strip books. Felt so weird and so wrong for a long time. I haven't torn up hardcover books yet. For someone who isn't a painter and doesn't own any paints, what else might be used to create this type of fodder?
Such a crazy practice (all in the name of greeeeeeed) It still feels weird and wrong 😖🦀😡, lol. You can use ANY means of getting color on to the pages: crayons, colored pencils, markers, colored pens (raid your office supply/junk drawer); I've even seen people use thrifted make-up to color pages.

YESSS, WHY listen to the noise. There's about 1,204 other things that need attention, go find one of 'em 😂🤣😂

❤❤❤ again some great ideas. Will be trying this for sure, especially on my pages
Thanx so kindly! Can't wait to see your take on them 💡
I have 2 books going at once, so I can let one dry while I’m painting in another one.
